Authorities say the body of a missing 4-year-old California boy was found in the clothes dryer of a neighbor's home and a 14-year-old boy from the house in Mendota has been arrested on suspicion of the killing.

Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims says 4-year-old Alex Christopher Mercado's body was found Saturday. According to Mims, the boy was placed in the dryer after he was killed.

Sheriff's spokesman Chris Curtice says Alex's parents reported him missing Friday afternoon. Deputies joined by dozens ofhttp://www.buffalonews.com/260/story/847356.html?imw=Y volunteers combed the area through the night and the boy was found in the dryer about 24 hours after he disappeared.

The suspect - whose name was not released - was arrested later in the day.

It makes you wonder what we're going to hear next. That poor little guy. Can you imagine being the person that may have opened the dryer unaware of the little boy being inside? I'm wondering if they'll find him incompetent and put him away until he's 21 or will they try him as an adult?

A 14-year-old suspect in the murder of a 4-year-old boy found drowned and then stuffed into a clothes dryer in Mendota, California, has been charged as an adult, authorities said Tuesday. Fresno County, California, District Attorney Elizabeth A. Egan said Raul Renato Castro was charged with special circumstances, including murder during a child molestation, sodomy, kidnapping and murder of a witness to prevent testimony.
Castro faces separate felony charges of kidnapping, sodomy and child molestation, Egan said.

I think that any teen committing an adult crime should be tried as an adult.

Affidavit: Teen says he killed boy found in dryer

MENDOTA, Calif. – Authorities say in court documents that a teenager charged with murder confessed to killing a 4-year-old boy because the child was going to reveal the teen molested him.

Fresno County prosecutors have charged 14-year-old Raul Castro as an adult. His arraignment hearing was postponed Wednesday.

The affidavit was filed by sheriff's Detective Sergio Toscano to get an arrest warrant.

It says Castro lured Alex Mercado into a bathroom and molested him. When Alex threatened to tell his mother, Castro said he held him under water in a bathtub until he died then hid the body in a clothes dryer, the affidavit states.

Castro is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on charges including murder and sodomy.

Just about the time you think you have heard all the horror that people can inflict on others, then you get this little b!stard who sodomized and molested the child and he claims the child died when he hit his head, so he just tossed him in the dryer and now he is being charged as an adult, but the little puke will not get the DP or even LWPOP due to his age, even though he is being tried as an adult, he can't under MO law, get those sentences, more like 32-life which is not long enough for this POS, he should have to die for what he has done to this poor child. I am so sick of these little brats just harming and murdering innocent people because they hate the world or they were abused themselves and then getting relatively light sentences, some just go to some juvie facility till they turn 18 or 21 depending on the state's mandates, in MI it is 18 and in VT as well and here they murder an innocent baby and they do three years and get out, change their name and not one person in their new hood knows the evil they committed earlier. And some kids, would probably kill again and some have and then and only then do they get a life or death sentence and same goes for sex offenders.
