Flamming Mad Severely Neglected Dog Found in Front of Animal Hospital

Story Published: May 6, 2009 at 7:13 PM EDT
Story Updated: May 6, 2009 at 8:09 PM EDT

This morning, Eyewitness News received a call about a dog outside of an animal hospital. When we arrived at the Anderson Inner City Animal Hospital, we found a severely neglected cocker spaniel, covered in mats of fur. An employee said they got a call yesterday at about 9 a-m, saying there was a dog outside, so they brought him some water. The employee said they called the city animal shelter twice, to come get the dog. But 24 hour later, the dog was sill there.

"I received a call from Channel 7 this morning tell me about this dog," said Barbara Carr of the SPCA.

That was the first the SPCA had heard about the dog, and were there within minutes. The dog was quickly picked up and treated, in terrible shape. They had to shave mats off of the cocker spaniel that should weigh about 30 pounds, but instead only weighs about 9.

"We can't tell right now if his kidneys are shut down..." said Veterinarian Karen Moran.

Meantime, we called the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. They say they did go over to the Anderson Inner City Animal Hospital to get the dog when they were called, but that he ran away. SPCA Executive Director Barbara Carr says dogs do sometimes do that when they see officers. But what has Carr angry is that the dog sat outside an animal hospital for a full day.

"There is something seriously wrong with this dog. Anyone that works in a veterinary hospital, I don't care if it is a clerk to the hospital or up to the veterinarian, could determine that this dog was suffering," said Carr.

We tried several times to reach Doctor Anderson. Our calls have not been returned, and while we got an answer there from an employee this morning when we went over there. This afternoon, when we went back, there was a sign on the door that said closed, doctor's day off.

Cocker Spaniel Neglected for Weeks
Posted By: Marissa Bailey

The Erie County SPCA is treating a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel neglected for weeks and found Wednesday on the steps of a small animal hospital in Buffalo.

The SPCA received a call around 11:30 Wednesday morning that a sick, mangy dog was found on the steps of the Anderson Small Animal Hospital on Fillmore Ave in Buffalo.

When the dog arrived to SPCA Headquarters, it was covered in more than a pound of hair, in the midst of kidney failure, dehydrated and barely alive.

Volunteers hooked the dog, now nicknamed "Red", up to an IV and started to shave him.

Erie County SPCA President Barbara Carr says she's baffled by the lack of action taken for the dog, who was found in front of a small animal hospital

"You cannot just leave a dog suffering in the street. Again, I don't know about the owners or how this dog got into this condition. What I do know, is that someone in the position to be able to help this dog 24 hours ago, failed to do so." says Carr.

"Red" arrived at the SPCA with a collar but officials aren't sure who the owner is.

If you're interested in finding out about Red's condition, you can call the Erie County SPCA on Ensminger Road at (716) 875-7360 or go to their website at www.yourspca.org.

Animal clinic criticized over neglected dog
By Dale Anderson
NEWS STAFF REPORTER

State officials are being asked to look into the case of badly neglected dog that lay for 24 hours without care on the doorstep of an animal clinic on Buffalo’s East Side.

The male cocker spaniel, about 3 years old, is receiving emergency treatment at the SPCA Serving Erie County shelter in the Town of Tonawanda after being picked up by the SPCA late Wednesday morning outside the Anderson Inner City Animal Hospital at Fillmore and Kensington avenues.

“We got the call from the Anderson veterinary hospital right after we got a call from Channel 7,” said Barbara Carr, executive director of the SPCA. A viewer had called the television station about the dog, she noted.

Carr said the dog, which was wearing a collar with rhinestones but had no identification, was severely malnourished and dehydrated, suffering from kidney malfunction, and its hair was severely matted. Ordinarily a 25-pound dog, it weighed only 7 pounds, she said.

Upon arriving at the shelter, the cocker spaniel was given intravenous fluids and vitamins, Carr said. She reported that it was beginning to show signs of improvement later Wednesday. She said its condition is “guarded.”

The SPCA also trimmed the dog’s severely matted hair.

Carr said the SPCA has been unable to reach anyone in the Anderson clinic but noted that staff members told TV reporters that they didn’t want to bring the dog inside because they feared it was suffering from a contagious condition.

The staff told TV reporters they had called Buffalo animal control officers Tuesday but the dog hid when they arrived.

“Apparently it had enough energy then to run away,” Carr said. “It’s not unusual when they see people in uniforms.”

Carr faulted the veterinary clinic staff for not calling the SPCA sooner if they did not intend to treat the ailing animal. She said she had asked the office of professional discipline at the state Department of Education to investigate.

“A simple phone call would have made this so much easier to deal with,” she said. “Twenty-four hours would have made such a difference.”

A long road ahead for Red...
Posted 5/6/2009 10:45 PM EDT on wgrz.com
I don't even know how to begin this blog.

I knew it would be bad, but I was not prepared for what I saw this afternoon, walking into the SPCA.

I knew it was bad when, while ingesting the video, my co-workers gasped as they stood in a circle around the monitor and saw the 9 pound dog struggle to stand up.

The President of the Erie County SPCA walked us into the back room to see the 3 year old Cocker Spaniel just brought in. I thought it was asleep because it wasn't moving. This mass of skin, bones and hair laid on the table moving nothing but it's eyes when someone walked by. I can only imagine what he was thinking.

As I moved in closer with the camera, I tried hard not to move quickly or disturb him. God knows he didn't have much strength left. As the tape rolled, I looked in his eyes. They were tired...filled with pain and yet behind them, I saw a spark of life. "Red", as the volunteers had started calling him, was holding on with everything he had, knowing that maybe, he'd get through this.

We may never know how this happened but now, Red is in good hands. It's going to be a long road but I saw something in Red's eyes that makes me think he'll make it. He'll be ok.

I've decided to keep a close eye on Red and I will be sure to update my blog with his condition.

Keep Red in your thoughts...

Red's name has just been changed to Kenny-for the Kensington Expressway which is near the clinic he was rescued from.

"Kenny" is in guarded condition
Story generates heartbreak and outrage

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It's a story generating heartbreak and outrage - a sick, helpless dog, lying in front of a Buffalo veterinary hospital for 24 hours before the SPCA was even called.

Plenty of TLC and attention from the SPCA appear to be helping a malnourished three-year-old cocker spaniel now named Kenny.

SPCA Executive Director Barbara Carr said, "The dog's temperature is beginning to come up. It's almost in normal range. The blood work that we did this morning is showing some improvement in kidney function."

However, Kenny is still reluctant to eat anything.

It's not digesting the food and that's cause for concern after he was left outside this east side Buffalo animal hospital earlier this week.

Veterinarian Doctor Hector Anderson said, "I should not be implicated in any way for what happened to the animal."

It's believed Kenny was left outside Dr. Hector Anderson's clinic on Tuesday. Kenny didn't get medical care until Wednesday night.

Dr. Anderson said, "When I went towards the dog, it got up and walked towards the grass patch in the back."

Dr. Anderson says he's been a vet for more than four decades and that if the dog had shown some signs of injury, it would've received immediate care, "As far as I'm concerned the dog was not injured. It was able to move and I don't think that I should be responsible."

Carr said, "I don't know how a veterinarian can walk by this dog and say there is nothing wrong with it. And that's what I heard him say."

Dr. Anderson claims one of his employees called the city animal shelter to pick up Kenny at least four times on Tuesday, "If the city had come immediately or within the day, they would have taken it to the vet that does work for the city."

News 4 was not able to get a hold of anyone at the City Animal Shelter to respond to claims of the number of calls made. As for Kenny, his condition is guarded.

News 4 will keep you up to date on his condition.

EMACIATED DOG TREATED BY SPCA INTO EARLY MORNING HOURS AFTER BEING IGNORED BY VETERINARY CLINIC
Thursday, May 7, 2009
By: Gina Browning, SPCA Director of Public Relations, 716-629-3505

Suffering Dog Receiving Care and TLC in SPCA Infirmary, One of Four Animal Victims Admitted to SPCA May 6

A severely emaciated male cocker spaniel, just seven pounds and covered in mats weighing, upon removal, three pounds, is currently being treated in the infirmary of the SPCA Serving Erie County after being admitted Wednesday.

The dog was found Tuesday morning, May 5, outside the Anderson Inner City Animal Hospital, 1963 Fillmore Avenue in Buffalo, after a community member, concerned over the dog's intense suffering, called the clinic at 9:00 am and informed an employee that the dog was present outside the building.

Rather than attempting to provide care to the suffering animal, a clinic representative brought water outside to the dog and called the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter twice to remove him. A staff member from the City Shelter said he was unable to capture the dog Tuesday and left the scene. The dog returned to the outside of the animal clinic where he was then completely ignored despite his life-threatening condition, although Dr. Hector Anderson admitted to an SPCA animal cruelty investigations officer that he saw the dog and was aware of his presence.

SPCA officials finally received a call about the dog from a representative of WKBW-TV Ch. 7 early Wednesday morning when the station's newsroom was contacted about the animal by a community member, upset over the fact that the dog was still present and neglected outside the veterinary clinic for more than 24 hours. A member of the SPCA's Animal Rescue Team was dispatched within minutes; the dog was immediately retrieved and rushed to the SPCA's on-site infirmary for emergency veterinary care.

Upon arrival the emaciated and dehydrated dog, dubbed "Red" and estimated to be just three years old, was administered intravenous fluids and vitamins. Weighing in at only seven pounds (a cocker spaniel's normal weight is 28 - 30 pounds), Red received a full examination and his thick mats were shaved. According to SPCA veterinarian Dr. Karen Moran, Red is suffering from kidney malfunction and may have other internal damage. Although he is showing signs of improvement, his condition is guarded.

"We are doing everything we can to save this dog's life," says Debby Williams, SPCA veterinary services manager. "Unfortunately, in such severe starvation cases, there could be so much going on internally of which we are unaware, and his life is still in tremendous danger. We keep reminding ourselves of this fact, but taking it one day at a time in these cases is so difficult...everyone here has already fallen in love with Red and has become so attached to him. He'll be receiving plenty of TLC with practically round-the-clock care."
"What we have here is a serious breach of ethics, as far as I'm concerned," said Barbara Carr, SPCA executive director. "A dog was in need of life-saving attention, was steps away from the entrance to a veterinary clinic, and was ignored and neglected. I can't say why the choice to ignore the dog was made, but I can say that the SPCA cannot allow an animal to be treated this way without voicing a public opinion, without making formal complaints, and without opening an investigation into the matter. I suspect the animal-lovers of our community are as outraged as we are." Carr adds, "Animals with contagious illnesses are treated on a daily basis at veterinary clinics filled with other animals receiving treatment. That's what veterinary clinics are for. They are equipped to isolate and deal with animals that may be contagious to other animals."

An SPCA investigation into this case was opened this morning. A formal complaint against the Anderson Inner City Animal Hospital was made to New York State by the SPCA yesterday.

In addition to Red, in just a 4-hour period on May 6 the SPCA infirmary received three other suffering animals in need of emergency veterinary care, two cats and a woodchuck (information on these animals will be available shortly on YourSPCA.org). Learn how you can help Red and the other victims of animal cruelty, right here. Keep watching YourSPCA.org for continuing updates on Red's condition.

Veterinarian Speaks Out About Neglected Dog
Story Published: May 7, 2009 at 4:39 PM EDT
Story Updated: May 7, 2009 at 5:16 PM EDT

At the SPCA, they are calling him Kenny, because he was found close to the Kensignton. He's getting plenty of love and medical attention. The cocker spaniel was covered in mats of hair, and weighs only nine pounds, when he should weight about thirty.

"His temperature is coming up so it is almost at the normal point. Those are all good signs. However, he is not able to really eat at this point. We are continuing to maintain him on vitamins, fluids, that sort of thing," said SPCA Executive Director Barbara Carr.

He has been at the SPCA for a day now, after being dropped off outside of the Anderson Inner City Animal Clinic Tuesday morning, and remaining there for a full day until we arrived after being tipped off. We called the SPCA, and they were there in minutes. The SPCA has asked the state to look into disciplining the Veterinarian for not bringing the dog inside. Dr. Anderson agreed to an interview with Eyewitness News today, saying they got a call the dog was outside, gave him water, and then called the city animal shelter four times to come and get him, and nobody showed.

"Four calls been made to the City pound four times a day. I don't see why the dog was not picked up," said Dr. Hector Anderson. "Since the dog was not picked up why not bring him in this is an animal hospital," asked Eyewitness News. "Because the dog was not injured," he replied. "But the dog they say may die," said Eyewitness News. "But the dog was able to move around. A dog does not die suddenly from not being taken care of. We gave the dog water which is important in sustaining an animal," added Dr. Anderson.

We went to the City. They showed us a log saying they got three calls, and responded twice. They say the first time they responded and the dog ran away, the second time they could not find the dog, and after the third call the SPCA had already picked the dog up.

"When people see those pictures, they may be thinking how could he have run," Eyewitness News asked a city official. "Sure. He was probably on his last legs at that point. A day later, another day without food, another day without water, who knows how sick it was," said Director of Streets Peter Sullivan.

Turn for The Worse for Abandoned Dog
Story Published: May 8, 2009 at 2:32 PM EDT
Story Updated: May 8, 2009 at 5:19 PM EDT

It has been a very long week for Kenny the dog.

"It is always a problem when your reintroduce food to a starving animal. That is where the trouble begins," said Barbara Carr, Executive Director of the SPCA.

A turn for the worse for this tough little guy, whose temperature has dropped. He was brought in severely dehydrated, apparently abandoned outside the Anderson Inner City Animal Hospital on Tuesday. He was left outside there for a day, and given water. The veterinarian there says they called the city animal shelter 4 times to come get him, but nobody showed up. The shelter says they did go there two separate times to try and locate the dog. One time, they say he ran away. The other they could not find him. The SPCA has lodged a complaint with the state against the veterinarian, for leaving him outside, and is hopeful he will be sanctioned.

And today, another sad case is reported. The SPCA received a call this morning about a dog in a cage on Winslow Avenue. The dog was dead when they got there. Carr says somebody had reported this dog through 9-1-1 Wednesday, when it was alive.

"My understanding is that our officer started our own investigation, and spoke to the 911 operator, who claims to have dispatched a call to the city animal shelter about a dead dog at that location, so there seems to be a lot of confusion," said Carr.

"Unfortunately we could not retrieve the call. The call was all gargled. At that point it went by. Now today, we find out the dog had been sitting for a few days and unfortunately, the dog passed away," said Paul Sullivan, Director of Streets for the City of Buffalo.

Sullivan says they will be looking into their 911 system.

Animal Care Officials Spar Over Blame of Sick Dog
Posted By: Andrew Pierrotti

Kenny is a dog on his death-bed with two prominent animal care officials tossing the blame of his condition around.

"I'm sorry, but this is a medical doctor...anybody looking at this dog, anybody on this street with no medical knowledge whatsoever could see this dog was suffering," said SPCA Erie County Director Barbara Carr, talking about Buffalo veterinary doctor Hector Anderson.

"I think Ms. Carr is not an authority on animal care as far as I'm concerned," says Dr. Anderson.

Carr says Kenny, a malnourished cocker spaniel, weighs half what he should. The SPCA picked Kenny up outside the Anderson Small Animal Hospital on Wednesday after getting calls from the public.

She blames the hospital's owner, Dr. Anderson, for not taking Kenny into his care. Dr. Anderson admits to seeing the dog on Tuesday before SPCA rescued him. Carr filed a complaint against Dr. Anderson with the state this week.

"There is no way in the world that I can accept that a veterinary doctor could not see that that dog was suffering," said Carr.

"The dog was not physically injured to the best of my ability...the dog could move. If the dog was injured, then that would be a different thing," said Dr. Anderson.

Dr. Anderson says he called the city four times to pick the dog up on Tuesday. No one showed up. His office is closed on Wednesday, the day SPCA arrived. Anderson says the city should take some responsibility, "I think this is a witch hunt as far as I'm concerned," said Dr. Anderson

Dr. Anderson thinks the SPCA should be targeting its anger at the person who abandoned Kenny. The SPCA says Anderson could have used his facility to get the dog help quicker, and that's why Carr filed that complaint with the state this week.

SPCA euthanizes dog abandoned at clinic

The badly neglected cocker spaniel found on the doorstep of an East Side animal clinic earlier this week had to be euthanized, an official from the Erie County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said Saturday.

“He just kept getting worse, despite all the efforts,” said Gina Browning, SPCA spokeswoman.

The SPCA had been treating the male cocker spaniel, about 2 or 3 years old, at its shelter in the Town of Tonawanda, after picking it up late Wednesday morning outside the Anderson Inner City Animal Hospital at Fillmore and Kensington avenues. Some had started calling the dog “Kenny” because he was found near the Kensington Expressway.

The dog, which was wearing a collar with rhinestones but had no identification, was severely malnourished and dehydrated, suffering from kidney malfunction, and its hair was severely matted. Ordinarily a 25-pound dog, Kenny weighed only 7 pounds.

Kenny originally had shown signs of improvement but couldn’t keep down food and didn’t respond to any medication, Browning said Saturday. An X-ray showed he had an enlarged esophagus, which could be corrected, but the dog was too weak to undergo surgery, she added. He was given a blood transfusion, in a last-ditch effort, before finally having to be put down.

The SPCA faulted the veterinary clinic staff for not calling the SPCA sooner if they did not intend to treat the ailing animal, and has asked the office of professional discipline at the state Department of Education to investigate.

There is a connection between Heaven and Earth called
the Rainbow Bridge because of it’s many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows,
hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm Spring weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.

Some of them here by the Bridge are different.

These pets were beaten, tortured, and unloved.

They watch wistfully as their friends leave one by one
to cross the bridge with their special person.

For them there is no one, no special person.
Their time on earth did not give them one.

But one day, as they run and play,
they notice a child standing by the road to the bridge.
This child wistfully watches the reunions of friends,
for during life this child had no pet.

This child was beaten, starved, tortured, and unloved.
Standing there alone, one of the unloved pets approaches,
curious as to why this one is alone.

And as the unloved pet and the unloved child

get nearer to each other, a miracle occurs.

These are the ones who were meant to be together,
the special child and the beloved pet who
never had the chance to meet on Earth.

Finally, now, at the edge of the Rainbow Bridge,
their souls meet, the pain and the sorrow disappears,
and two friends are together.

They cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

RUN, Kenny!!

Go find your "special person"!!!

You're whole again!!!!

Play among the angels!!!

For the special person who finally had the compassion to pick Kenny up from the vet's office...

Unlike most days at Rainbow Bridge, this day dawned cold and gray, damp as a swamp and as dismal as could be imagined. All the recent arrivals were confused and concerned. They had no idea what to think for they had never experienced a day like this before. But the animals who had spent some time waiting for their beloved people knew exactly what was happening and began to gather at the pathway leading to the Bridge to watch. They knew this was something special.

It wasn't too long before an elderly animal came into view, head hung heavy and low with tail dragging along the ground. The other animals on the pathway...the ones who had been at RainBow Bridge for a while...knew the story of this sad creature immediately. They had seen it happen far too many times.

Although it was obvious the animal's heart was leaden and he was totally overcome with emotional pain and hurt, there was no sign of injury or any illness. Unlike the pets waiting at the Bridge, this dog had not been restored to his prime. He was full of neither health nor vigor. He approached slowly and painfully, watching all the pets who were by now watching him. He knew he was out of place here. This was no resting place for him. He felt instinctively that the sooner he could cross over, the happier he would be. But alas, as he came closer to the Bridge, his way was barred by the appearance of an Angel who spoke softly to the old dog and apologized sorrowfully, telling him that he would not be able to pass. Only those animals who were with their special people could pass over the RainBow Bridge. And he had no special beloved people...not here at the Bridge nor on Earth below.

With no place else to turn, the poor elderly dog looked toward the fields before the Bridge. There, in a separate area nearby, he spotted a group of other sad-eyed animals like himself...elderly and infirm. Unlike the pets waiting for their special people, these animals weren't playing, but simply lying on the green grass, forlornly and miserably staring out at the pathway leading to the Bridge. The recent arrival knew he had no choice but to join them. And so, he took his place among them, just watching the pathway and waiting.

One of the newest arrivals at the Bridge, who was waiting for his special people, could not understand what he had just witnessed and asked one of the pets who had been there for some time to explain it to him.

"That poor dog was a rescue, sent to the pound when his owner grew tired of him. They way you see him now, with graying fur and sad, cloudy eyes, was exactly the way he was when he was put into the kennels. He never, ever made it out and passed on only with the love and comfort that the kennel workers could give him as he left his miserable and unloved existence on Earth for good. Because he had no family or special person to give his love, he has nobody to escort him across the Bridge."

The first animal thought about this for a minute and then asked, "So what will happen now?"

As he was about to receive his answer, the clouds suddenly parted and the all-invasive gloom lifted. Coming toward the Bridge could be seen a single figure...a person who, on Earth, had seemed quite ordinary...a person who, just like the elderly dog, had just left Earth forever. This figure turned toward a group of the sad animals and extended outstretched palms. The sweetest sounds they had ever heard echoed gently above them and all were bathed in a pure and golden light. Instantly, each was young and healthy again, just as they had been in the prime of life.

From within the gathering of pets waiting for their special people, a group of animals emerged and moved toward the pathway. As they came close to the passing figure, each bowed low and each received a tender pat on the head or a scratch behind the ears. Their eyes grew even brighter as the figure softly murmured each name. Then, the newly-restored pets fell into line behind the figure and quietly followed this person to the Bridge, where they all crossed together.

The recent arrival who had been watching, was amazed. "What happened?"

"That was a rescuer," came the answer. "That person spent a lifetime trying to help pets of all kinds. The ones you saw bowing in respect were those who found new homes because of such unselfish work. They will cross when their families arrive. Those you saw restored were ones who never found homes. When a rescuer arrives, they are permitted to perform one, final act of rescue. They are allowed to escort those poor pets that couldn't place on Earth across the Rainbow Bridge. You see, all animals are special to them...just as they are special to all animals."

"I think I like rescuers," said the recent arrival.

"So does God," was the reply.

Bless you!!!

"Kenny" Put to Rest
Posted By: Andrew Pierrotti

Officials at the Erie County SPCA say they have to put "Kenny" the cocker spaniel to sleep.

We're told Kenny received a blood transfusion Saturday morning, but did not respond. SPCA workers say he has an enlarged esophagus and cannot be saved.

Kenny was malnourished and weighed only nine pounds when he was discovered Wednesday outside a Kensington Avenue animal hospital.

The SPCA has filed a complaint with the state, saying the veterinarian whose office Kenny was found in front of, should have helped the dog.

Dr. Hector Anderson says otherwise.

"The dog was not physically injured...the dog could move. If the dog was injured, then that would be a different thing," Anderson said. He tells us he called the city's animal shelter four times, asking them to send someone to pick Kenny up, before the SPCA arrived. He thinks the SPCA should be directing its anger toward whoever abandoned Kenny.

"I'm sorry, but this is a medical doctor...anybody looking at this dog, anybody on this street with no medical knowledge whatsoever could see this dog was suffering," said SPCA Erie County Director Barbara Carr.

"There is no way in the world that I can accept that a veterinary doctor could not see that that dog was suffering," said Carr.

The SPCA wants to thank everyone who asked about Kenny's condition and offered to adopt him.

There is sad news regarding Kenny the abandoned dog. In case you haven't been following his story, Kenny was found severely dehydrated outside a local animal hospital earlier this week. The SPCA took him in and has been caring for him, but Saturday afternoon SPCA officials told Eyewitness News Kenny's health is failing and they had no choice but to put him down to end his suffering. SPCA officials say Kenny was not responding to a blood transfusion and he had an esophagus condition from which he was not able to recover.

I know that many people aren't fans of PETA, however, I felt that trhis was a case that SCREAMED for intervention by the animal activists that people LOVE TO HATE.

If they can put this a-hole vet into the national spot-light and drum up enough out-rage, maybe he'll lose his license and others like him will think twice before neglecting animals in Kenny's situation.

Here's what I wrote to PETA.

"A Buffalo vet has neglected to treat a sick dog left on his property. And when I say vet, I use that term VERY loosely.

Buffalo Animal Shelter neglected to find, rescue and treat this animal, claiming he ran off when he saw them coming. This poor dog wasn't able to CRAWL away-let alone RUN.

SPCA of Erie County finally rescued the animal after over 24 hours on the vet's property, and the dog was so ill at that point that he had to be euthanized.

If the vet has rendered care when he was told the animal was in front of his office, Kenny possibly wouldn't have had to suffer as he did.

This is a link to a crime board I belong to where I posted the relevant stories about Kenny. It is the message board for TruTV.

http://www.boards.crimelibrary.com/s...28#post9189428

Please, for the love of God, investigate and sanction this fraud of a veterinarian.

Thank you for your time, attention and compassion.

Donna Moorhouse"

I know that the owners are at fault, too, but the chances of them coming forward are neaar zero.

I say-take what we know and follow through for justice for Kenny.

Let the owners live with the guilt of what they've done.

I'm sure there were friends and family members who saw Kenny's down-ward slide, and hopefully, they'll bring info forward so that the autorities can sanction them, too.

The SPCA really tried, but Kenny was just soooo far gone. He just couldn't get better here.

They mercifully put him to rest though. He isn't scared or in pain anymore.

And someday, he'll find his Forever Person to cross over Rainbow Bridge with.

RIP, puppeh!!

My list of pioirities in my lifetime are :
Old people who cant defend themselves.
Children who need help and i refuse to turn a blind eye if i hear or see abuse.
Animals i have rescued off the streets here and handed over to the animal hospice, i also wont turn a blind eye to any animal in distress as in little KENNY case.
I hope the very people who saw him suffering on the doorstep dont get any sleep for a long time to come

I know just what you mean, Seashell...

I hope those people who knew about Kenny are haunted for the rest of their lives.

I know it's a slim chance, but I pray that somebody comes forward and and turns in the POS that neglected Kenny's care and feeding.

And I hope the vet loses his license and rots in Hell.

RIP, Kenny
They can't hurt you anymore.
