Angie Marie Fetty, 34, an English teacher at Oil City High in Oil City, Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged on allegations of an
inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old female student.
Police said a two-week investigation revealed that Fetty, an English teacher, and the high school student have shared a bed at Fetty’s Franklin apartment and have been observed kissing and hugging.
Fetty was suspended from teaching Feb. 13, when the Oil City Area School District was made aware of the investigation.
“We received official notification on Friday the 13th from Franklin police,” Oil City superintendent Joe Carrico confirmed Thursday. “She hasn’t been in the classroom since the 13th.”
On Feb. 12, a man called police and said Fetty’s 13-year-old daughter had witnessed Fetty and the student kissing, hugging, saying “I love you,” and sleeping together, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed Thursday with District Judge Michael Fedora.
