Authorities seeking identity of man found in St. Johns River
Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a man found floating in the St. Johns River on Christmas Eve. The man is described as a white male, 40- to 70-years-old, about 6-feet and 220 pounds. He had long, wavy gray hair and a full beard and mustache. He also had a butterfly tattoo on his left upper arm and another tattoo on the left lower leg. He was suffering from heart and liver disease. He was wearing two pairs of beige pants, a plaid long-sleeve shirt, a T-shirt, brown hiking-style boots and two socks. The man's cause of death has not been determined. Anyone with information is asked to call Jacksonville police at 630-0500 or the Medical Examiner's Office at 630-0981.
