Daniel Wayne Wynkoop
Daniel Wayne Wynkoop, 69, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee who worked as a substitute teacher in the Anderson County schools between November 2007 and February 2008 has been arrested and charged with
rape of a child and sexual battery by an authority figure.
The charges are in relation to an incident that occurred on February 13th, 2008 Wynkoop was substituting at Andersonville Elementary School. A parent brought the incident to the principal’s attention a few days later and the school system, Anderson County Sheriff’s Department and Tennessee Department of Children’s Services launched an investigation. He was immediately removed as a substitute teacher.
