Omar Curry, 30, a social-studies teacher and girls basketball coach at Belleview High School in Belleview, Florida has been
arrested and charged with sexual battery of a 15-year-old female student.
According to a brief statement from Marion County sheriff’s detectives, Curry called the female student out of class Thursday to speak with her in the locker room where, the victim reported, she was
sexually battered.
The girl reported the incident Monday, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jenifer Fisher said.
