Very Old News Story Northern California

I'm hoping someone remembers this one. I can't even tell you what year it was but I'm thinking it was probably around 20 years ago. I believe that this happened in Colusa County, CA, but I'm not sure. I do know it happened in NorCal.

A badly battered woman thought to be dead, but still barely alive was discovered in an old barn. She had no ID, and questioned, she couldn't remember who she was or what happened to her. After that, I never heard any follow-up stories. I don't know if she got better, remembered anything and went on to live her life, or even if she died in the hospital. I've been searching but can't find out anything.
