yea the girl definetely has a thing for hearts, i wonder if she thinks that makes it all better? she put the heart there to show she loves caylee right? so maybe in her twisted mind she thinks that redeems her for this heartless act

Since she is a sociopath and sociopaths try to mimic real emotions I think it was exactly that, an attempt to say 'See I care, I put hearts on it. I think in her way she was trying to convince herself at that point that she was normal.

I think the residue indicating a heart sticker was on the skull tape is significant already. "Heart" icons are an obsession with KC. We have seen hundreds of stickers in photos of her room. Her wall displays and "art" have hearts. She has heart shaped bowls and ornaments. Photos show heart motifs on Caylee's clothes. KC's uploaded photos decorated with hearts etc.
It is a KC trade mark - a dead give away so to speak, just a heart shape being on the remains.
In addition there is hope that a more definite link to the stuff (sticker backings) in KC's room is still possible.
The fact that a heart was actually on the tape attached to the skull is a link to the body and hence the murder. Far more important than if it was just found near the remains

I am looking at very specific pieces of evidence. The heart sticker is one, the RARE type of tape is another. However in addition to those, even if they prove not quite conclusive, there is a mountain of circumstantial evidence. And we have more to see I hope?

i could buy that if i believed for a second that she was actually sorry, i really don't think she felt anything REAL for Caylee, if she is sorry, it is only because she lost her meal ticket IMO

Casey has one emotion and we all know what that is. As for her daughter, aye, where is she? Nuff said. That sick and selfish little brat is going to find out that her mother's rules do not apply to real life. Can't back peddle now.

I do not know how rare it was but the duct tape on the skull matched the duct tape roll in the Anthony's garage per forensics. I do not have a link however. IMO sara

I have often wondered myself if this picture represents Casey letting go of Caylee (Caylee being the balloon to fly away and never be seen again) and then the 'HOPE' part of it that life could go on in a way Casey would like it to be OR could it be Caylee is represented in the little girl letting her mother rise away from her problems (Casey being the balloon) and go to a higher place where there are just light, airy, fun times and no responsibilities & HOPE again that life can be what it used to be before she (Caylee) came along. Don't know if this makes sense or not. Just throwing out two different theories on the picture that I can see. Other interpretations? Thoughts? Theories?
P.S. I'm not a profiler by any stretch of the imagination!!!

hahaha you seem to be better at it by far than i am.
this picture from her facebook or wherever it came from, it isn't even the most disturbing in my mind. the one that really haunts me is the two skeletons kissing and their heads meeting forms the shape of a heart. i just don't know what to make of that, the mixture of skulls and hearts in this girls mind leads me to think that she had gone back and witnessed the decomposition of her child. when were they added? could it be that she was finding these things online during different stages and they were sticking with her because of what she already knew was happening?

Isn't it eerie to try to guess what could have gone through her mind? What is her fascination with hearts; what do they mean to her? Are they a way for her to try to show that she loves someone if the real emotion is missing? And why a fascination with skulls? I often see skulls and crossbones together on clothing or stickers on vehicles. What does this stand for? Anything in particular? Does it give any insight into what Casey is fixating on? As you can see, the more I think about things, the more questions I come up with!

IIRC I believe it was the brand name that was unusual/rare and not necessarily the duct tape itself.

I have 2 girls and they are grown now, but they got over the sticker stuff in middle school.  Casey is still stuck in a child like brain imo.
