Forensics.

So.. Let's discuss forensics.. Forensics and criminalolgy are extremely interesting to me. What do you think? Would you ever pursue a career in forensics? I would in a heartbeat.

I know that shows like CSI and Law and Order are made to be more interesting than the careers really are, but even knowing that I love watching them and I would love to do that every day.

Anyone watch truTV? I do. Like religiously.

I'm interested in those things too. I hope someday I can work in a field related to one or the other. I have a criminal justice degree and lots of work experience but not really related to what I'm interested in, so I hope to get there someday, indirectly.
I've never watched CSI or Law & Order. If it's not nonfiction, I don't watch it. So I just buy crime shows on iTunes and watch those. Just watched an episode of "Crime 360" and thought it was really interesting.

I'm with you, I am very interested in Forensics...Ive had some education and training and would LOVE to pursue a career in the field. My family says I'm made for it... haha...

The only thing that would stop me would be viewing autopsies. I had to do that during an internship, and one was a 9 month old child..That was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. And that was before I had kids of my own!

I personally would love the forensics of a crime. Although I will admit that I don't think I could do like my dear daughter has done[ Brandy}. Although they are mostly dramatic some shows like Law and Order And some CSI shows really do base some of their shows on real crimes. As they say "truth is stranger than fiction"...

An interesting and stressful job for sure. CSI and other shows really glamorize it, but at least the producers have made an effort to be more accurate as the show went on. Crime Scene Analysts are the tip of the spear. It starts with them and ends with someone else. They have little room for error in the collection and reporting.
