NEW JERSEY: N.J. coach James Kearney, Jr. accused of sex with teen

Police say 37-year-old James Kearney, Jr., a coach at Princeton High School, has been arrested on felony sexual misconduct charges involving a 17-year-old high school student.

Investigators say Kearney engaged in a "sexual relationship" with the teen at an unspecified location in the township on Dec. 1. Kearney was arrested four days later.

Kearney, who also teaches phys-ed at Trenton's Kilmer Elementary, was released from police custody after posting his $50,000 bail, according to police. Police didn't identify the gender of the alleged teen victim.
Authorities would only say that Kearney coaches at Princeton High, and they wouldn't confirm if he is on the coaching staff of the high school's varsity football team.
