I agree the rape and the fact that the suspects knew of the victims does show it really wasn't a robbery.

I agree, could be revenge. Pietrzak was their superior, might have rode them hard but probably worse (you don't murder your C.O. for something petty. Sexually assaulting the wife means its personal).

I guess Semper Fi got lost in the delivery. They took "Marines take care of their own" the wrong way.
