Holy crud. . . I was going to vote after I dropped my daughter off at school, but the parking lot looks like the Mall on Christmas eve!!! Going to wait for a few hours.
Will be voting for McCain.
(I've lived in countries with socialized medicine and even had one of my kids in one. . . sorry, but I don't believe it is the answer for America).

Just watching Obama's speech now and I can honestly say I've never heard a better one from a President Elect. I do think the right man for the job won. Obama has what it takes to turn things around if he is given the chance.

Great FFF. I have been a Republican since I was 9 yrs old. (I guess I am a female Michael J Fox.)
I voted Dem once for Jimmy Carter because he was from my home state of GA. Mr. Carter has done great things since he has left office, but I think he was a much better peanut farmer that president. jmo

I concur 100%
Now I do not expect Obama to be a miracle worker of any kind, but I hope he can improve our standing with the international community, as well as correct our domestic issues.

I truly believe that America and the World won yesterday. I listened to snippets of the speeches given last night. I have never heard such emotions spoken more eloquently than were expressed in the concession and victory speeches. I think America will be wise to follow those emotions.

I'm a newbie here. Registered recently and haven't posted yet.
I was watching CNN yesterday evening before the results came in (I'm in Ireland, so went to bed before any of them came in), but somebody had sent an email to CNN, which I think summed up the emotion beautifully.
"Rosa Parks sat, so that Martin could march. Martin marched so that Obama could run. Obama ran so that our children could fly."
They didn't say who sent it in, but it's so full of hope.
