You didn't do anything, sweetie......I don't believe FW had the funding to keep it afloat....I do wish she had warned us of it in advance.....I'm certain the posters could have worked something out to help the situation, but given we had no prior knowledge..  Hoping we can find all of the posters and get them back together somehow.....how are things with you, I hope well....we were lighting a candle for you on Sycamore, which Kelly so kindly created for us!

Good to see you Seashell. I have to get to know everyones new/old names. LOL (me KellyGirl)
I'm still going through withdrawals for Sycamore. I had so many stories I was following and keeping track of. And the people there that I got to know, yay, most are coming here. 
I was reading the Tara blog by Fsbii and can't get to that either.
A warning would have been nice.

It's really not that expensive to run a website but maybe they exceeded their bandwidth.

uhoh! i guessed something was going wrong when their adverts were all cancelled, its sad to read this and am sorry that it went downhill due to lack of funds, i am suprised that it crashed as it really sounded and seemed an excellent idea all along.
I look forward to catching up with the crowd and i also hope they rejoin us on here, thanks for posting, lubs ya!

Hi everyone! Hi Kelly! Good to see you guys here. I started the Ramsey thread here last Spring (not knowing at the time if it would be deleted or not), but it's still an ongoing thread. I'm glad! Seashell, when I got that "suspended" message at Sycamore, I TOO wondered, what the heck have I done wrong? It wasn't until the next day when I started reading around other forums that I realized it wasn't just me, LOL You know what's funny? It wasn't until just the other day that I noticed there weren't any more advertisers. I really hadn't paid all that much attention. Yes, a warning would have been nice. As a matter of fact, I was in the middle of posting when the forum went down. I think I was posting to Autumn. Crazy!
Time just doesn't allow me to post on more than one forum on a regular basis, so I'm glad to see you guys have arrived here. Hope you all have a great weekend!

I wonder if the moderator here would allow us to open up another board just for the JonBenet case instead of a thread.....with the new DNA evidence.....I think we need one......have you seen anything of Mame or Autumn on any other board? If you do ...please direct them here......

How can we be certain CL will stay alive? They almost closed it down last year....I would suspect they got a lot of emails and backlash over it....so maybe that's why it's still here....but I would like to know how to contact folks that I've made friends with just in case this one just disappears one day, too!

yes LadyFisher DW is Deepwater and she has really helped out with baiters along with One2Snoop and FDInLaw. they have kept me in line. Also grneyes does have a great website if you want to talk to her about it. I have been there and it is very nice..............sara

You have never been mean. You find a politically acceptable way to respond to a baiter and I am trying so hard to learn from that. FDI and O2S just helped me get rid of baiters but I really like your style. I told Kellapple yesterday that grneyes has a website and you can have your own room. She is very smart and does a great job...........love sandy

I see nothing wrong with getting mad at someone, we're all adults, we all make mistakes and we all say things we probably shouldn't say and I'm guilty of all of the above.  We learn from our mistakes and move on, right? Just my 2 cents.

O2S, you have done a great job. I get agitated sometimes though more at the crime than the poster.
Following the Tara G case I appreciated more boards to read and post on. I thought 320 was a great idea in the beginning and I hated to see it fold. As O2S said, we were told that CL was going to close and it didn't. I welcome all the 320 posters too. I was elledaisy at 320. jmo In case you wonder why I am stuck on Daisy; she was my beautiful little black schnauzer in our family for 14 years.

I was new here at CL when all the "hubub" started here and so I didn't know anyone. I liked starting up at a new place and starting from scratch to get to know people. This past year was my first year of being on message boards. Turns out I like it. And everyone I have "met" is nice.

Hi Kelly, FDILaw and everyone else. I posted to you upthread yesterday (I think). I was so happy to see everyone joining in over here. I'm putting out some fall decorations today and I'm fixing a turkey breast and necks for dinner. In GS we don't get too much "cool" weather but today is overcast so I thought I'd pretend! And yes, Kelly, you're absolutely correct and I agree completely that everyone here IS nice! I hope everyone has a great weekend, what little is left of it.

Hi everyone!
i like everyone here and who were on the other side, i learnt a long time ago not to carry any board troubles and make it too personal so please forgive my initial criticism when i post this thread and i also havent been around as much as when i first joined on here nor on the other side.
I hope to catch up soon, my daughter's wedding was absolutelly fantastic and she looked so beautiful and all the past years pressures and worries and other family woes seemed to fade once i saw my girl looking so happy

CindyWater! Actually, the world's treating us very well and when it comes right down to it, we have nothing but blessings, even at the worst of times.  Hubby had heart surgery in August but is doing very well. He's been out planting fall flowers this weekend. We're going on vacation for about three weeks to visit our cabin, and then our youngest son and his wife and our second-oldest daughter and her three children. We're driving and we'll just take our time. We've never been to the cabin in late fall, so I'm anxious to enjoy the cooler weather for a change. We'll spend a week at the cabin, a week visiting the kiddos, and then one last week at the cabin and we'll be home around the middle of November.
Hey, how's this world treating you? We voted by absentee the other day since we'll be out-of-town on Election Day. The last time I voted absentee was when we were active duty military YEARS and YEARS ago!
When we're at the cabin it's difficult to post since we have dial-up, so you might not "see" me for a while when we're gone, but I'll stop by when we return. We'll be around for another week or so.

My younger daughter of 21 gave such a cute and emotional speech before the ceremony that everyone in the chapel had tears in their eyes but i refused to show my tears, i didnt want to shed any even in happiness, i am so proud of my girls that everything that day was worth all the sacrifices in my life, hugs

And yes, you are so very right about having nothing but blessings, even at the worst of times. That's something I "try" to keep in mind.

Thank goodness there was no damage , with a window just below where it hit, our cabin would have been flooded and ruined for sure.

We have had some of the strangest weather up here our way this year.....I posted to you earlier on this thread, but I don't think you saw it....have you seen Mame or Autumn on any other board? If so please direct them here...Snoopy think that deepwater might just reopen the JBR forum is we ask her.....it's worth giving it a try......... Glad you didn't have any more damage....my dad's old house flooded during the 13 + in. rain we had in March.....
