ALLEGAN, Mich. (WZZM) - The Allegan County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing 19-year-old woman from Allegan.
Christina Sue Watkins was last seen at 9:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2008. She was expected to start a new job in the Kalamazoo area on Monday, October 6, but never arrived at work. Her car, a blue, 2005 Hyundai Elantra 4-door with MI plate 8JFQ05, is also missing.
Allegan County Detective Len Mathis tells WZZM 13 News his department is trying to track Watkins electronically through social networking sites Myspace and Facebook. They are also trying to track her cell phone and ATM records to see if there's been any activity.
Watkins family told investigators they last saw Christina when they left their home for a weekend trip. They say when they returned Sunday Christina was gone and so was her car. However, they say, it appeared she had been there recently because the dishwasher was still running.
Anyone with information regarding this missing person is asked to contact the Allegan County Sheriff's Office at 269.673.3899 or Silent Observer at 800.554.3633.
Tonight on WZZM 13 News at 11pm find out why police are looking into a film shoot Christina Watkins had scheduled in Grand Rapids before she disappeared.
