here's something from another skeptic:

Title: SCHOOL SHOOTINGS HAVE A PATTERN THAT IMPLICATE THE PRESIDENT AND HIS GOVERNMENT -- GUN CONTROL IS THE OBJECTIVE! BLACK MAGICK WITCHCRAFT IS THE POWER!

I think some of these school killings could have been avoided if the authorities had paid more attention to anti social behavior of young children. I think in a lot of cases, they should have tried to check up on the family situation, and tried to learn if the child had any dangerous personality traits or habits.

Years ago I was greatly annoyed by a story about two girls, about 8 years old who got into a fight, and one of them got a severe eye injury. The injured girl’s parents called the police. By the time the police got there, the girls were friends again, and the injured girl made a complete recovery.

I was greatly annoyed by the fact the news media treated the situation as though it was a big joke. I was not in favor of punishing either girl, but I was angered by the thought that many people seem to think that anything an 8 year old should be ignored by the legal system. In other words, what 8 year olds do is not to be taken seriously.

I remembered an angry friend who was being given savage beatings by his mother when he was about 5 – 6 years old.. When I got older I wondered what happened to him, whether his life improved. .

I read that young kids who are given some kind of legal attention when they engage in illegal anti social behavior are more likely to stay out of trouble. This makes sense to me. I think legal attention could include checking up on the family situation, and some personal counseling for both the parents and the kids. In many cases there is no easy solution, but at least monitoring the situation would probably do some good.

I also think that in a lot of cases they should save the records of the kid’s misdeeds. I don’t like the idea of expunging juvenile criminal records if the person stays out of trouble for a certain number of years. I think it might be a good idea to seal the records so that a judge could look at them if they get in trouble again.

Before Ted Bundy was arrested and convicted for killing dozens of women, his name came up as a suspect. The police knew that he had been convicted of something as a kid, but since the record had been expunged, destroyed, they weren’t able to learn what he had been convicted of.

Unhappy if only...

the thing is that in general, school authorities don't care how violent or troubled a student is. sad but true.

if the childhood offense was something grave, then it should not be expunged.

ITA I really think schools need to put a whole lot more energy into preventing crime. They know who the bullies are and they know who has problems. If the school is too large to handle it hire a couple of employees and have that be their job responsibility. IMO this starts from birth, parents, peers, media and games. sara
