I know you didn't find what you need here, and I'm sorry, but I have to thank you - there are some recipies in my family that my Mom and Grandmother were good enough to write down. But, when I think about where they are, my daughter would never find them. I am going to make sure that she has copies - probably both in written and electronic form.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Sara, have you tried pureeing them in the blender? Either that or a motar and pestle. I think your mom probably used the actual pureed olives instead of just the olive oil..Not sure if that helped or not, LOL~Susie

Sarah,
I know the stuff you are trying to make. I am guessing that you mum used the olive juice for a jar of green olives. You shoul dbe able to pick those up at just about any grocery store. If you have no luck there, try your local liquor store.
If you want to do this the old fashioned way by "squeezing" olives due this:
Throw some olives in a 1 gallon zip lock bag and then use a rolling pin to squeeze out the olives.

Hey Sarah .. Looking at some recipes I think that "green olive juice" is the liquid which is in a jar of green olives.
2 examples below from recipes ...
1 teaspoon green olive juice (liquid the olives are packed in)
1 tablespoon lemon juice, sweet or pickle juice or green olive juice, from the glass jar they come in.
Bon Appétit ~

that is such a good idea. Mom died early 1986 no computers and she was too sick to give us any near the end. Boy did she have some great ones. Some year I will tell you the story of by brother and I making Thanksgiving for the family. It came out anyway. When mom passed we got the idea of videoing everyone at get togethers. too bad she did not get on it but we did it in her memory. Especially when we were cooking LOL thanks

I would think a juicer would do the trick. By hand, I would think a mortar and pestle might work.

I'd think it's just the juice from the jar...and you can always use the olives for a MASSIVE MARTINI!!!!
