I think she was NKA. In my opinion that is too good for her. I think they should do her just as she did her sweet little boys. Put her in a car and let it slowly sink in to the water, and bring it back out over and over till she takes her last breath. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone but she truly is an evil person for what she did...For me the children's cases are so heart wrenching I can't hardly read them...~Susie

Thank you NKA. Hopefully the DA and family will appear every year she becomes eligible and prevent her from ever getting out. I read somewhere that she has/had advertised on the web for "penpals"..Makes me sick that even locked up criminals still have access to other innocent people. JMO

And as with our little buddy Karla Homolka, she seems to have no remorse whatsoever. At one time she had a friggin' personal ad up and has been in trouble for sleeping with the guards.

I bet my left toe she will NEVER be in GP because in 3 seconds every black woman within a 5 ft radius would be on her like men on a Playboy with Natalie Portman on the cover.

Yep, I agree 100%. It is truly disgusting that she even had the ability to put up a personal ad. And whatever guard did the naked la bamba with her needs to be roundhoused in the face.

I also heard she was trying to get pregnant again---that is why she was sleeping with the guards. I cant remember where i read it so i cant provide proof but that is what i heard awhile back.

She is a sick woman--and seeing the pictures of those beautiful boys makes my heart ache.

Just seeing her name makes me mad

I hope she stays in jail for a long time

ITA Susie. I think it was because she 'fessed up to it under pressure that she didn't get the DP. IMO.

I think there is something seriously wrong with Susan Smith--well, I know, duh, "normal" people don't go around drowning their children...but I don't know if she's mentally ill, evil, or a mixture of both. Either way, she should never, ever get out of prison!!

And I am totally embarrassed to admit that I too am a native of South Carolina, like this, err, person.

Thankfully most people around here do not think it's okay to drive your kids into a lake and leave them there to drown.

Those poor babies. They were so beautiful.

What a wonderful post Livia. I agree completely. SC isn't the only one where some evil mom has killed her beautiful children. I live in Georgia and am well acquainted with SC. There are many fine people there. SS is an evil person and in no way represents the fine state of SC....Thank you ~Susie

Thank you Sara. SS, should have gotten the death penalty and to know she is advertising for "penpals" and sleeping with guards is enough to turn my stomach. It seems as if everyday we hear of another child that has been murdered. So sad that in our society such people manage to not only NOT get the DP, but to play the system, grrrr, I wish I was a judge on these cases...well maybe not cause I would cause a power shortage across the country ridding the world of these lowlife's. IMO

the whole world is full of people murdering children. I just have no comprehension on how that can happen. I do not have children but raised my siblings and helped with their kids and friends kids. Children are just such precious miracles. Mentally ill I understand because I worked with women with that problem but sane it is a big mystery. We currently have a father in our area who has been charged with assaulting his baby. the baby is his 3 month old son who is now in a coma with brain damage and ventilator.I do not even have a clue is how this can happen........IMO

This past summer. There was a woman who came to our county to see her kids. They were staying at a motel near a water park. In the middle of the night she went into her sons room and stabbed them to death before the grandfather could stop her...I believe they were 7 and10....

Unbelievable. The pure horror that must of been for the grandfather to walk into that and see those babies being stabbed repeatedly.

There was a case in NYC a couple of months back about some crackhead looking fool of a mother that cooked her baby in the microwave. So sick, and so sad.

I agree FFF, the horror of having your own daughter murder her two beautiful loving children before you could stop her must have been overwhelming. As for the case you mentioned I can't in anyway understand the thought process of that woman. I try very hard not to look at the childrens cases because It is just too heartwrenching for me. But whether you want to hear about them or not they are everywhere you look these days. So very sad that parents especially would detach their feelings[ if they have any at all] from those little miracles and put those babies through such torture.. Children in my view are little miracles to be loved and cherished, and protected above all else. ~Susie

What floors me even more in this case is that she was able to stand there and watch as she rolled the car into the lake; knowing that her boys would drown. I can't imagine anyone killing their kids to begin with but in a manner like that????

There are persistent rumors that since she went to prison, she gave birth to twins which were placed for adoption.

I can still remember waking up that morning in 1994 and seeing on CNN that she had been carjacked and the boys were taken as well, and I am like, why take the kids if your main goal is to get the wheels which is normally what most carjackers want, maybe your wallet and other valuables, but not children, what in hell are they are going to do with two babies?? Read the address off the woman's driver's license and drop them off at their house? My husband at the time who is as suspicious by nature as myself commented that he too found it strange that the person would take the kids and why did he not just drop them off on a corner or something? Well 9 days later we all got the grim news that she had murdered them because they were getting in the way of her love life! And I have never bought all the bullcrap about her wanting to kill herself instead of them, if that was her intention, she could have brought the boys to David's and then drowned her sorry ass in the lake, no, she simply wanted them gone, she figured LE would buy her story and after awhile she thought that LE would not actively pursue the case and she could just pick up where she left off with the boyfriend. And in a strange way, I think Susan Smith is the reason that Casey Anthony is refusing to divulge where Caylee is, in her pea brain she understands that SS was weaker than her and folded and was facing the DP, and I think Casey thinks that if she never gives up where the body is, they won't go for the DP because no one knows what the child died from, because they don't have the body. Both both of them regardless will never see freedom again. Technically, SS can come up for parole when she is 53 years of age, does not mean she will get it and if I know David and his family, they will be there to beg the board to keep her incarcerated because she does not deserve freedom.


And yeah, I have heard that she did have an affair with a guard, she is a total pig, she probably thought even behind bars she could continue seducing men to get what she wants, and I also heard the guard was fired promptly as that is a direct violation of the rules and the main one being a security breach, hell, he could have tried to break her out of prison, it has been done by guards before and it is also a moral issue, why would you want to bang somebody who has murdered her two children? Did it give him a thrill he was banging the notorious Susan Smith? As a rule female prisoners will try to wrap their feminine wiles around a male guard, they figure they will receive extra favors if they do so and the male guards that are not worth anything will give in, they figure what the hell, free sex whenever I want it, and she also will do whatever I want her to do and then you have the ones that are real pigs, one in NH had been raping female prisoners for many years till a supervisor got wind of it and was able to get some of the women to admit what was going on, and he in turn tried to get her fired, but when a prisoner who was doing a life sentence with no contact with men from the outside got pregnant, it was all over for this pig, whose name is Douglas Tower, he terrorized them as well, telling them he could do whatever he wanted to them as no one would believe them and the day he was found guilty he was completely shocked, he truly believed he was going home and the judge three weeks later gave him three 15-life sentences for rape and sodomy and also he physically abused them as well and he got concurrent time for that and seeing as he was 64 at the time of sentencing, he got a LWPOP sentence and I hope he gets raped!!!

But in SS case, I truly believe she was a willing partner and no one made her do anything. She should have gotten the DP and a friend of mine said that until they would fry her, she would only be able to see videos of her boys, no regular TV, and when she got her hour out, they dunk her in a pool till she almost drowns and see how she liked that and when they strapped her to the chair, the last thing she would hear was the boys crying Mama, why did you murder us? I read a paragraph of her white trash mother's book where she is still whining about how much SS loved those boys, and that her mind was not right that night and she actually thinks that SS should have just gone to a nut hatch instead of prison. She whined about how SS spent the first year in PC all alone, because the other inmates wanted to kill her, still all about SS and her feelings! Those precious boys, however young they were, felt the cold water rushing in on them, they were completely helpless, they probably were crying for their Mama to help them and instead she stands there stoically and watches them drown. On a crime show one night on of the investigators who was from the FBI, who acted like a kindly old grandfather towards her, said that those boys were still strapped to their car seats, and the sight of their bloated bodies will never leave his mind as it took awhile for those poor kids to drown and she at anytime could have gone in the water before the car filled up with water and flipped over and rescued them so for not doing so, I wish somebody would beat her beyond recognition!!!

I'm new here, maybe I should really go back and scan the posts a bit, but here absolutely nobody thought she was innocent for a minute, esp. people of the generation that had to read both To Kill a Mockingbird and The Fixer for their English matric exams.

I remember watching Smith on the Today Show (NBC briefly broadcasted thru satellite world wide) and wanting to throw something at the screen and yell, "She's as guilty as sin!!!" to Katie Couric, who was taken in by her.
