Here i am again with yet another question !

Sorry , bet you are all thinking for god's sake what does she want now lol

I was wondering ... ( i do a lot of that) if any of the forum members had ever purposely set out to visit the scene of infamous crimes, i know that people have visited cielo drive, and wonderland avenue etc and just wondered if anyone on here had done that, if so what made you decide to do it and how did you find it ??

Jules

LOL, No Jules no one is thinking that. We enjoy your taking the time to post..I personally have never visited the scene of a murder[ while as an adult, did once when I was a kid] but I know many do. Some do so out of morbid curiosity and others to put a crime in better perspective..Maybe someone who has done this can answer your question better, LOL..Sorry not much help..Hope you have a great day~Susie

What is cielo drive famous for? I don't remember that one....For me, it depends on the severity of the crime; and what kinds of feelings or "spirit" of the place is still lingering there. I don't mean to bring religion into this, but this is the best way to sum up what I mean. Carthage Jail in Illinois, where the Mormon prophet and leader, Joseph Smith, and his brother Hyrum were martyred on June 27th, 1844, by an unlawful mob on orders from Governor Boggs, to "exterminate the Mormons," draws many faithful saints to pay tribute to our beloved leader. That is the ONLY time ever, in American history, was an order sent out to exterminate a singular populace. All of the charges Joseph Smith was charged with, were all false, made up lies, by the ravenous blood thirsty mob. Anyways, I am sorry for the history lesson. I think visiting places where a murder took place, to pay tribute to the fallen, is understandable, and encouraged. Visiting places, say like the backyard where the disgusting vile John Wayne Gaycey buried his victims, is extreme. IMO

Has anyone been fortunate enough to visit Ground Zero in New York? I have always wanted to go pay my respects there some day
