A former teacher was arrested today for allegedly sending more than 200 text messages - including some that were sexual in nature - to a student at his school, Indiana State Police said in a news release.

Luke A. Musselwhite, 26, sent the messages in 2007 while he was a teacher at Pike Central High School, the release said. He was arrested on preliminary charges of disseminating harmful material to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the release, Musselwhite resigned from his teaching position just prior to the start of this school year. Police say the messages were sent to a 17-year-old female student. Musselwhite turned himself in at the Pike County Jail this afternoon, where he later posted a $2,500 cash bond.

This sort of thing seems to happen a lot, i was watching Montel Williams the other day ( i know bad daytime tv lol) and there was a girl on there who had an affair with her teacher - she still declared her love for him and was really confused- the teacher had received a prison sentence and she felt guilty. Then there were more teens that had slept with their teachers. Like i said in one of my previous posts, you send your kids to school thinking that they are safe, but that seems far from it !
