This is my first post since joining your board. I got a rather creepy email from the administrator here, telling me that someone was trying to break into my acccount and that after five tries, CL froze my account for 15 minutes.

I traced the IP address and it turns out that this individual lives in Israel of all places. I live in Canada, which isn't exactly close to Israel.

I have had three stalkers following me everywhere and making my life nightmarish. This has been going on for over seven years. I have contacted the police and sent them transcripts of them threatening to kill me and my cat, breaking into every account I had online and making late night calls to my parents in hope of getting my unlisted number. Fortunately, both declined.

Okay before this turns into a dime store crime novel, I want to know if this person is using a fake proxy. I'm not sure what that entails. I know you can use proxies to appear as anonymous, like Vtunnel, so could people living in Michigan make it look as if someone from Israel was trying to break in.

I just hope there's a logical answer. Thanks for reading all this.

Please read the Hackers at CL thread. It's not just you, it's a loser with more time on their hands than anyone should have. They've hacked into several message boards since the 4th.

Take a deep breath, don't click any of the links in any e-mail from anyone you don't know, be smart in your internet travels.
