Cold Case - Help Wanted

Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum - Greetings! I was wondering if anyone could help me with a Cold Case from England?
In, I think 1975, in London a girl was murdered and her killer was never found. What made the case unusual was that she had appeared nude in a "Mens" magazine (I can't remember the title - Men Only, Penthouse or something of that ilk).
In one of the pictures in the magazine, a set of flowers had been propped up beside her and the police believed the killer had identified her from the magazine as he had left exactly the same type of flowers by her body. It was a gruesome muder as her head had almost been severed from her body.
I remember the case at the time but what has sparked my interest was a short article in one of the national newspapers here recently about the case.
Does anyone know anything about it all? I have tried searching the internet without success.
Thanks
Keith

None of that sounds familiar to me Welcome to CL. Do you have any more information?

Hi,
Unfortunately, I cannot remember anything more other than the fact it was North London somewhere. It was fairly big news at the time because of the killer leaving the flowers which seemed macabre. I have seen the magazine as my flatmate had a copy. She was murdered not long after she had done the photo shoot. I will try the Newspaper librbrary in Lodon to see if I can track it down but that is a long haul as I don't have a speific date. I was actually asked on another forum regarding the death of Dorothy Stratton if I had any more details of this murder when I mentioned it.

Thank you HeavenCries - That is the one. There is no mention of her appearing in the magazine though. The police had linked her murder at the time to her appearance in the magazine with the flowers as the link. Now that I know the name I am going to do a bit more digging.
Many thanks for that though, it was driving me bonkers.

Did the police find any cases connected to this one? If so, are the ladies connected in any way? Jessica
