Well, it finally happened!!

Katey is registered for COLLEGE!!!

Right next door, there's a Catholic convent, and there's a BEAUTIFUL prayer grotto that the Sisters maintain. It's dedicated to St. Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes.

There's also a flock of geese that wander between the college, the convent, and the girl's Catholic high school on the other side of the college...





They're going to be adding more dorms in the coming year. At this point, they're so full that they're renting apartments in the community to house some of the students.

Thank you so much for the congrats.

Katey is my 19 year old daughter, and she's set to graduate from high-school in less than 12 hours!!!

Here she is on Prom Night-



Her boy-friend is in Afghanistan, fighting the Good Fight, so he couldn't go with her, but she took her best friend, Alley for company and moral support.



And you can't send two beautiful girls off to the Prom without a handsome escort, so they took Katey's Beanie-Baby Hero bear, too! Complete with an extra garter for the absent Angelo, which has a charm saying "Here in my heart".



I ended up making 2 shawls-one for each of the girls, and 3 garters-one for each girl to keep as a momento, and the one going to the boy-friend.

Katey is all of 5 foot-NOTHING, and about 105 pounds, but she has a mind like a steel trap, and wants to help change the world and make it safer, so as we were watching CST one night, I suggested Crime Scene Investigation as a career, and she just FLIPPED!!! The next day, we got on-line to FASTWEB to search out schools with the right curriculum, and we found a GREAT one about an hour away!!!

And the rest is HISTORY!!!

Katey isn't on-line much lately, with all the end-of-school tests and activities, but she always tells me to thank everyone for her till she can do it herself.

I have a daughter ,two grand-kids and one on the way ,yikes lol .

My nephew is in Afghanistan also ,,in the Canadian Army .
