The Atlanta Child Murderer

I love the CrimeLibrary.com and was reading on the Atlanta Child Murders. I'm not sure if I overlooked or misread something but witnesses claimed they saw 2 black men in the car when the children were being abducted, and only one of the murders involved someone who was 27 years old. Not sure if this was mentioned but this is my theory:
Both Nathaniel Cater and Wayne Williams were abducting the children and murdering them. They may have gotten into a dispute or disagreement where Nathaniel might've threatened to go to the police causing Wayne to kill him because he knew too much.
But what about the 2 girls that were found tied to trees? Maybe they were experimenting with girls but decided they prefered boys? It's disgusting how now he is trying to blame a rapist or the KKK for the murders, and interesting enough the murders stopped when he was caught!
