Concern Grows over Disappearance of Fifteen-year-old Rosemary Edwards

Concern Grows over Disappearance of Fifteen-year-old Rosemary Edwards

By David Lohr September 12, 2007

HAMPSHIRE, UK (Crime Library) — Worry mounts for a teenager who went missing from her family home in Wellington Close, Dibden Purlieu last week. Despite massive searches conducted on both land and air, police have been unable to locate the teen or any clues to her whereabouts.
Police say 15-year-old Rosemary Edwards was last seen on Tuesday, September 4, around 10:30 p.m. Following a heated argument with her parents, which her father, David Edwards, has described as a "trivial matter," Rosemary went to her bedroom and has not been seen since.
Mr. Edwards discovered his daughter missing the following morning when he went into her room to wake her for school. Her money, cell phone, and personal effects were left undisturbed.

"On the basis of what we have been told, Rosemary left home with nothing more than the clothes [she was wearing], and that raises serious questions about how she can support herself for such a long period of time," Superintendent Barry Talbot of Hampshire police told the Times Online yesterday. "When she left home, she was in a distressed state, and [she] is considerably vulnerable as a girl of that age. Hundreds of teenagers go missing every day, and in nearly all cases, we manage to locate them within about 24 hours."
According to her father, Rosemary had exchanged text messages with three boys she met on the Internet in the hours leading up to her disappearance. Those messages have since been traced back to the sources, but at this time, the boys are not believed to have information on her disappearance.

Unhappy Pity

I have juse read about Rosemary Edwards taking her own life. I do wonder what made her do what she did. Beatuiful child. And I myself had just visited New Forest in Hampshire less than a month ago. I assume she chose the location due to her love for nature. What a pity. Anybody knows WHY? NO foul play founs at all right?
