Porter kids, bodies found?

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Authorities said they are considering the area a crime scene where they found human remains in their search for the Porter children.

Police began searching about 8:30 a.m. Sunday. At 5 p.m. they announced that they found what appeared to be a grave and human remains.

Our partners at the Kansas City Star report that Tina Porter said Independence police came to her home Sunday morning and told her that they were "99 percent sure" that her children's remains had been found.

Sam and Lindsey Porter were 7-and 8-years-old when they went missing June 5, 2004. Their father did not return them to their mother after a weekend outing.

This is the case that was featured on Dr. Phil.

It just never seems to stop does it? It is so depressing to come here to read sometimes for in my heart I just know somehow there will be another case where children have been harmed or killed.

I looked at their photos and after all these years I cannot fathom how someone could look into the eyes of a child and murder them. And for them to be harmed by their own parent who professes to love them. It is madness...it makes no sense. How could anyone have the capabilities to do that?????

It said the father is doing 30 years for kidnapping. Is that sentence to do with the taking of his own children or did he kidnap them before or another child?

Great to "see" you TD. I wish it was a happy news article though instead of another heartbreaking tragedy.

Daniel Porter, the father, is serving 30 years for parental kidnapping and something else for terrorizing Tina, the kids mom and his ex wife. There is so much to this case- it blows my mind that Tina had to let Daniel see his kids that weekend- it was reported on the news after they disappeared that when Daniel arrived to pick up the kids, he demanded his guns from the home. Tina refused and he was so agitated that she thought he was on methamphetamines.

Tina had called her attorney several times and was always told that she had to let Daniel see their children. She knew this was going to happen.

I saw her in court one day, Tina is a broken shell of a person. I've never seen devastation like that until I saw Tina Porter. She carried a picture of her kids and begged Daniel to tell her where they were- he refused of course.

Rumor has it (take it with a grain of salt) through the LE grapevine that Daniel killed the kids immediately after he picked them up from Tina. They found guns belonging to him in the river approximately 5 miles from where they discovered the bodies today. Daniel Porter is a vile, evil person.

He is vile and evil! IMO, his reason was pure and simple vengeance against Tina! Sick, Sick, Sick!
