Defense 5U

Has anyone looked at this exhibit before? Defense 5U is a Laci Missing Alert sent by e-mail. It says Laci was last seen at 9:30, which we know was Scott's original time he said he left and which we know was totally inaccurate. I know I don't need to convince the SIG's that Scott was guilty, so my question is more or less for the advocates.

If Scott's purpose was to alibi out of this, I could very much see him maintaining that time as much as possible. But if his goal was to find his wife and unborn baby or in the least, to gain information regarding their disappearance, why wouldn't Scott make every effort to solidify his timeline, ala Karen Servas?

Are we to believe that Scott couldn't have reflected on his morning to solidify his leave time, if finding Laci was the A priority? Was he not savvy enough to scroll his recent calls list on his phone to see he made the morning VM check at 10:08, which would tell him he left no earlier than ten? Wouldn't he have wanted to correct the info, given what we know?

I don't think it ever occurred to Scott that his cell phone call to retrieve voice mail could narrow down the time. I think he was so used to being on the phone all the time that it wouldn't have occurred to him to even check that.

ftydaddy, you have better eyesight than I do. I can't even begin to read that. I DO know that the only changes made to the original missing flyer were in the reward amount. Everything else stayed the same. Note that Karen Servias's change in time was not public until the preliminary trial, even tho it was given to the police shortly after the incident. I don't know if it was in the newspaper or not. Maybe Cadi can remember.

I know that the flyer was posted at work on the 27th (as most places were closed on the 25th. We had one of the original flyers wih the $25,000 reward on it. Across town, they had updated $ amounts on theirs. But my work was in walking distance of the search center, so it makes sense that we would have one of the original flyers.

I guess my point was that Scott started with that 9:30 business from the onset and never tried to shore that up. As a husband, if my wife went missing, I'd want to nail the time I left to the minute to make sure the leads that come in were not wasteful in the time department.

As for the lack of sophistication with the cell phone, anyone on the phone as much as Scott has to know about the time stamp on recent calls. He mentions the time stamp of the voice mail in the Brocchini interview, so I am nearly certain he'd know about the recent calls one. IMO
