Long time CTV poster Has Passed Away.
Freshwater,
I didn't know where to post this. so I chose here. Please move to the right area.
I know some of the posters here, cannot see the CTV board any longer. I just wanted to let all know that it has been reported that long time CTV poster *Sammie* died on August 2, 2007. It has been reported that Sammie passed away peacefully after a long illness.
I am one that will miss her humor and her thoughtfulness of others. My prayers go out to her family and friends.
Good-Bye Sammie. I hope you are at peace now.

Thank you firehead.
I just pm'd freshwater to ask about a tribute thread for sammie.
I was a cyper buddy with sammie for years. We shared many laughs and giggles along the way.
Her latest passion was the ANS case, and she would creep in at the oddest hours with her posts and comments.
Her last days of posting were filled with laughter as she tried to capture a feral kitten and make it her own. LOL she spent the entire evening telling us how the kitten was locked in a room, and she was determined to make it her own. She loved all fur babies.
sammie was unique, and I'm sure she is teaching all the angels how to be as angelic as she was.
I will miss her forever.

I hope more visit here and post a tribute to sammie. The message boards were her passion, she loved posting. She had amassed over 35,000 posts. Quite a testimony to a great lady.

I just came from CTV and am in SHOCK! Sammie gone?! They said she told no one about the gravity of her illness.
Sammie had a wonderful sense of humor and was one of the first to welcome me to the CTV boards. Chammy, your post on CTV was just beautiful.
Rest in peace, Sammie.

Although I hadn't intended to post again at CL, I want to pay my respects to Sammie, whom I've enjoyed posting with for 5 years. I never knew she was ill, as she was always fun-loving, cheerful and so full of life. I am so deeply saddened over the loss of someone I always looked for, even if only to say "hello". This year has been one of great loss of posters whom I've grown to "love" and care so much about.
I am so shocked by this terrible news that it's difficult for me to type this post and to adequately convey my inner feelings. Sammie was a poster whose nic was synonymous with CTV, and one who seemed to have a great and lighthearted rapport with CW. Sammie will be sorely missed by many. I will never forget her!
My deepest heartfelt sympathies to Sammie's family and friends.
In Loving Memory of Our Sammie. Rest in Peace, my friend, until we meet again.

Remember when she spilled the hot chocolate in her bed. She and Polly were always being sent to the corner. She was a lot of fun.
Rest in peace, Sammie.

I did not have the pleasure of ever posting with Sammie, but she sounded like a wonderful person. May she rest in peace, and when you get to heaven Sammie, so hi to my dad for me. I miss him so.

Thank You Hi Life.
I recall a particular Sunday on the Anna board, the bickering back and forth, sammie was MIA that day, which was quite unusual as she was quite vested in Anna's case by then. LOL, later that evening she gave us all a chuckle when she posted, she had spent her Sunday afternoon working on her agression by drawing mustaches on her Real Estate broker's photos. That was
our sammie.
Along with jenniann, another legendary poster, the message boards have lost two fine ladies, who I will never forget.

I have also had the honor to post with Sammie. I loved her sense of humor, and her kindness. I posted with her on many forums and have missed her. It's so sad to know that she is gone.
Last year, there was a thread at CTV about Big Brother "All Stars" in which Sammie and many of us participated in. She was so funny with her comments and remarks, and I was looking forward to posting with her about the show this season. Sadly, that won't happen.
It is my understanding that Sammie didn't like roses posted to her (but would also see the humor in us posting roses where she can't comment...lol)
For you my friend
And thank you for touching so many lives and so many hearts. Bravo my friend.

We miss you Sammie!
A candle thread for Sammie:

As a newbie, I found Sammie to be one of the friendliest old timers on CTV. She added so much to the board and is a great loss.
Putting on my best hat in her memory. . .
Prayers for her loved ones. ~ FD

I will miss sammie terribly She was the most kind hearted person I know. She loved her kitties and saved many of them. Her heart was huge. She missed her dad so very much since his passing. I will take comfort in knowing they are together again.
I'll never forget when I was in Disneyland in March, sammie called me every day with updates on the ANS case because I was at the park all day and couldn't watch TV LOL!
My last conversation with her, she told me she had taken a fall and wasn't feeling well and that she'd be away from the boards for a while but that she'd be back. I will forever be heartbroken that she never made it back.
For you my friend
You will be missed more than you can ever know.

I remember that time well Outlander. IRC sammie setting her alarm to wake up early enough to hear the paternity results. In her pj's, and insisted we all wear ours too. She had a hard time dealing with the time difference being a CA girl, but she sure tried to give it a whirl. I particularly chuckel at her quick drive bys in the middle of the night to see if anyone was as awake as she was. Always a smile, never a harsh word. I'll remember her forever.

Sammie was great fun, a great cyber companion, and corner buddy. She sent me there often enough. She kept me out of a lot of trouble. I will miss her, and have missed her the last few months. I knew she was ill, and she didn't want to fuss about it. I had no idea she was so ill. She was kind to all, even if she didn't really care for them. A great example for all. Where is my santa when I need him.

Yeah, she often wasn't able to sleep and would pop in to read. My next trip down south I was to stop and see her. I still can't believe she's gone. It doesn't seem real.

We all had some great late night fun. Laughing until the tears ran. Remember the Moe night? OMG she was a funny gal. I got a lot of time outs for having such a good time. BFF. She really will be missed by so many people. Amazing really when you think about it. A person you never met in real life, making such an impact.

I was a newbie on the CTV ANS board but it didn't take long to recognize the genuine gentle and loving soul that was Sammie.
Even on the days that board felt so tense, unfriendly and cold, Sammie managed to warm it simply by posting. There was not a day Sammie posted that I did not smile or chuckle at something she said.
I did not have the pleasure of posting with Sammie for a long time but I will always remember with pleasure the time we shared.
Holding Sammie in my heart and in my prayers.

Sammie had that effect on people. She always treated posters the same way, be it a long time friend or a newbie. She was such a good and friendly soul to everyone. And funny too. I remember her posts on the ANS forum and I always looked forward to *seeing* her. It was funny when she had to get up extra early (from California) to keep up with the Hearings on the East Coast. We knew to be gentle with her and let her have some coffee first.
I always tried to follow her lead. When she thought things were getting too tense, she would log out for awhile. That was my cue to do the same as I trusted her instincts. Sure enough, the forum would be closed down shortly thereafter.
I was reading at the other forum that Sammie didn't like flowers. She liked this ----> instead. I don't know why, but who am I to question...lol
 <----for Sammie
<----because she knows that I care and will truly miss her.

I posted with Sammie on the CTV boards. She will be missed over and over. Her humor and personality were tops. May she RIP. I did not know she was ill and it shocked me to read that she passed away.

Just had to bump this for a holiday. I was putting up my tree and kept thinking of last year when Sammie was so excited about her new tree that she had ordered.
In memory of Sammie:

Merry Christmas Sammie, I hope that you have the brighest tree to share with all of the angels.

I posted with Sammie many times on the CTV boards. I had no idea she was ill. She was a lot of fun and very nice. She had that sweet way of saying just the right thing.

I had posted with sammie at CTV but only on the Games forum. She was one of the posters that would be there late at night playing the games. I also recall Steph48 from the Games forum as well.
For sammie and her family; may she rest in peace.
