This place seems to be the place to post all things not related to any other catagory. I've always been interested in crimes and criminals (I don't know, I think I inherited it from my grandfather!), and since finding these message boards, I've been in hog heaven...so to speak.

What I wanted to bring up and ask is this: Do we really know the true purpose of this board? (can you hear the theme music from Jaws?) I've only had dealings with Freshwater, but I've heard there are at least three other types of water here....DeepWater, ClearWater, IceWater???? I think. There has been speculation of what their "real" jobs are....

I propose this (and if I'm not here tomorrow, you'll know I was right), these 4 mysterious people are actually detectives. This board was set up so that we could share our speculations, and give them devine guidance into "whodunit".
Without our valuable help, they wouldn't know where to start! This board is really like the FBI database and all clues are kept until the cases are solved. Sound right? JMHO

lol...thanks for viewing it in the light that I view it. But wouldn't it be a hoot to have dectectives using the board to brainstorm for them? Or the next best seller coming from out posts (mystery, comedy, depending on who's posting)? It's good for a giggle anyway.

Here's something for you, during the Scott Peterson trial, Geragos, Scott's atty. had someone from his office posting on the message boards. And to top it off, there was someone from the Modesto LE that posted also. Of course, all under the cloak of anonmity. So you see, we do have something to offer.

That's exciting to know. Your grandpa must have been a famous detective. You are very brilliant to catch on to this. I hope we can be famous with the FBI, I think this is a valuable tool for them.

I'll be watching for these clues and save the world with you against bad people.

lol..I do go off on tangents sometimes, and my hubby tells me I have an imagination like H G Wells. When I saw Matrix, I remember thinking then that someone had finally gotten it right. The only thing real is what we cannot see unless you went deep into the net. All the "waters" could be the meanie clones...lol..(just kidding, please no infractions, bans or reformatting my memories!)

I agree. I think the cops do monitor these message boards to see what is going on. I reckon they just look at the active boards discussing a case they are interested in. But Big Brother is there.

If only Law Enforcement would read the board and take note. I've seen some SNAFUs that could have been easily avoided if only LE had paid heed to Silly Sleuths.

Ohmygosh! LE, attorney's and PI's would be nuts not to take advantage of the information on the sleuth boards.

I'm am sure they all hit these boards and read the speculation. I have actually seen posters that do a lot of digging and come up with all kind of background information on people.
