the amber alert ticker is the color white today, meaning no new amber alerts have been activated. eight previous unsolved amber alerts remain on the "current amber alert files, however.
remember national missing child awareness day is May 25th - take time to discuss child abduction prevention with your children. in fact, constant reinforcement of the safety rules is strongly recommended:
1. never go alone - consciously plan ahead to take a friend.
2. always tell an adult where you are going (and when you arrive).
3. say "no" if you feel threatened and tell an adult you trust.
4. avoid situations or places that make you feel uncomfortable and
confused.
