Beth Smith Still Missing after 5 weeks!
Beth Smith, the pastors wife from Alabama who vanished from Bossier city has still not been found. Its been almost 6 weeks and very little is still known about her disappearance. LE speculates that she ran off, but there are things that call that conclusion into question. The family is searching for her and are very afraid that something bad may have befallen Beth.

A Thought
Beth is missing, who/why/where we are unsure of. There are two children missing their Mom. Having been there and being a volunteer for the missing, I can relate to the vast emotional rollercoaster. That being said..........
bashing each other is not helping anyone! Please think about those that read these forums. Beth's loved ones may read or hear about it.......
Grandma always said, "you catch more bees with honey than vinegar"
Let's all try to be a little more respectful, you never know.....God forbid, it could happen to a loved one of yours, and you would want all the help you could get. When you are desperate for information you do things you might not otherwise.
PS Not all of us are "arm chair detectives" in search of entertainment. I have helped many more than I care to count through this journey. Until you walk a mile..........JMO and respectfully requesting
Beth, you and your loved ones are in my thoughts & Prayers

I am appalled by this entire thread. The only, ONLY person that matters is Beth; and her family. This is the first time I have ever read threads where the person seeking help has to defend themselves (or made to feel like they should).
The link to the thread below is a bit more appropriate considering someone's LIFE is at stake...
http://boards.crimelibrary.com/showthread.php?t=281069
I would say that most of the people that come on these boards for the missing do so because they have already gone through the same thing, or truly have been touched and want to help.

Am glad to hear that the family is searching for Beth, I have not seen much in the media about that. Besides the reward being made, do you know what things the family is doing to search for her? Wish I lived closer, I would help in a heartbeat, as I am sure many others would.

errrrmmm... I understand your being appalled by what went on in this thread before your comment. Just wanted to say that there is a thread of at least 50+ pages in a different forum than this, where many many posts from the above and others talk in length about all this and more. Unfortunately, jumping forums and continuing that discussion elsewhere is confusing for those who have not read the posts in that thread in the other forum. Just wanted to mention that to help you better understand what that was about.
And to say I totally agree with you, Beth and her family is what matters.
I pray for Beth and for her family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Beth’s family. In order to help find Beth and get more media attention, may I suggest that a friend or family member contact the National Center for Missing Adults and have Beth Registered there. Most News programs that feature missing persons will refer to this site. Once Beth is registered, more stories will likely be run.

It is sad to say that this does not happen automatically when someone goes missing, but IT DOESN’T~!!! A close family friend could help in this matter, since the immediate family could be too distraught and busy with other details. Contact needs to be made and forms need to be sent out.

There are also other ways to where people can be much more productive.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Beth and her family. I do hope that Beth is found soon~!!!

Offer Of Help
Finding Our Children Under Stress (f.o.c.u.s.) Organization (a 501(c)(3) Charity) Extends Our Prayers And Hope For The Family Of Beth Smith. We Would Like To Help With Flyer Distribution And Posting; However, After Checking The National Clearinghouse For Missing Adult Web Page, We Found No Listing Of Beth Smith In Their Missing Person Files. Therefore, We Are Unable To Download Her Missing Person Poster To Be Included In Our Missing Person Display Binders. Anyone Know Why She Wouldn't Be Included In The Ncma Missing Persons Files? Same Situation With Missing Person Robert Stephen Brown From Texas.

Fliers have been passed out. A private detective has been found in the hopes that he can turn something up since he can devote all of his time to this case while the police can't. Part of the problem is that we arent sure where to direct the effort. The general consensus seems to be that she isn't in the Bossier City area anymore and that are has been searched pretty well. So its hard to know where to search and pass out fliers and so forth. Since its been over 6 weeks she could be literally anywhere.

Actually what happened over there has little to do with whats happening here. Sure it was the catalyst. But the important part is that I started a thread here about Beth, doing exactly what people there said I should do BTW, and they follow me here in order to attack me. For people who claim to be so concerned about Beth, I find it utterly baffling why they continue this behavior.

For those that don't visit CTV's forums, some of the folks there have set up a blog for Beth. I thank those involved and am grateful for thier time and effort in doing this.

What really gets me about this one is she is a prescription drug user and unless she took money out of their checking account before she Left out of town she would be using her credit cards for money to buy her medicine She is a addict. Also she left her luggage in her friends car. She only had the cloths on her back. She would have had to buy more cloths.

This is definately one of the really baffling aspects of Beth's disappearance. If she has run off, how is she getting by? This is why I've suspected that there is someone helping her. But I also think that maybe she ran into something bad after she left.
