A fifteen year old girl was shot in the back of the head by her 18 year old boyfriend. He wanted her to have sex and she told him she didn't want to in front of everyone at the party.

He shot her and then proceeded to rip her clothes off. The rescue team that came in found him chanting while in a sexual position over her half naked body.

Parley Jeffs Dutson was charged in 3rd District Court in West Jordan with first-degree felony murder in the death of Kara Hopkins.
Dutson also is charged with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison.

Bail was set at $500,000.
The court said it would appoint an attorney for Dutson. His next court appearance was scheduled for April 26.
No friends or family members of either Dutson or Hopkins appeared to be at Monday's brief hearing.

They're working, BeautifulOne sadly the girl died from her wounds. probably one of the others there may of called paramedics. Im unsure of the full story I only read some of it. It is disgusting why the girl died. I mean for such a trivial reason as she didnt want to have sex. I hope they keep him in jail for a long time its evident that hes pretty unbalanced.

Parley was one of the "Lost Boys" of the FLDS. He was kicked out his family home and community at the age of 14. Many of the "Lost Boys" are kicked out just because they are competition for the older men. I remember reading that one kid got kicked out because he was playing basketball, another for listening to music.

I haven't read much about Parleys mother or mothers. But his father who was one of the many who would not speak to the investigators about the illegal activity taking place. And yet Parley's dad was a notable character in town. I believe Parleys dad was either on city council or school council.

And I haven't found out much about poor Kara. Her mother has been mentioned but not her father.

The women in these sects are treated like objects. And it appears that those teachings will continue. Very few arrests and very very light sentencing. One guy got 1 day in jail for sex offense against a minor. Yup. 1 day.

Thats rediculus, Im glad I live In PA. Here they have much stricter laws then that in regards to sex with a minor. they get kicked out due to being competition? That seems to me like it's just asking for trouble. You kick someone out just to give their older siblings, and people that came before them an advantage leaving them to completely fend for themselves. Before they are even old enough to legally be considered guardians or independents.

David Bateman age 49 - 9 months prison

Vergel Jessop age 47 - sentenced to 1 day in jail and 3 years of probation. ( I wonder which wife has health problems- his legal wife or one of his spiritual wives)

Rodney Holm age 40 - Court May 15 Rodney was a local police officer

Kelly Fischer age 39 - 45 days

Randy Barlow age 33 - charges dismissed

Terry Barlow age 25- charges dropped

I read about this last week. That poor girl.
What a twisted society they come from.
I wonder what will become of this case. Please post updates when you see something new on it.
It will be interesting to see if there will be any justice handed down.
