Need help ID'ing kidnapping case

Does anyone remember the name of either the perp or the victim in the case where this teenage boy kidnapped younger boys and kept them prisoner in his room? He was fascinated with the sound of breaking bones, so he would take days to torture these kids by breaking their legs, ankles even the pelvic bone. His first victim died but the 2nd boy he grabbed got away after something like 36 hours of torture. I can't find the story anywhere on-line for some reason so it would help if I could get someone's name who was involved.

I work in TV and I need it for a segment we are writing. Thanks!

I would be interested in knowing,what this T.V. segment would be about. I would be the nephew of Joe Clark from Baraboo, WI...and would be interested in knowing some more...I had a close relationship with my Uncle, and my Grandparents at the time this incident occured.

I'm not sure anyone here could give you any direct info if thats what you're asking for? other than the links provided. Do you have something you'd like to add?

i know thadd phillips and my boyfriend knows joe clark and the the victims in this case, he grew up in baraboo and went to school w/ them and also had a fight w/ joe clark 2 weeks before he killed chris. i know this was posted a year ago i just wanted to let you know. i know them and i also grew up in baraboo. my boyfriends friends were on his list of who he was next gonna kill. it's scary im glad they caught him befor it was too late for the rest of them. and baraboo is a very small town. joe clark was an outcast at school and lived right down the street from thadd, the boy he put in his closet. my boyfriend said he didnt look like somebody that would do this, and would if never even imagine that he would. not to mention there were 2 other guys w/ joe the night he killed chris! they just watched him do it and never said anything to any one. i will not mention there names. they still live in baraboo.

Sirbugsly, last year I was reading on a certain forum when you posted a web address that people could look at Thad Phillips court reports where he had gotten into some trouble. I need to look up some reports on someone else and was wondering if you still had that address? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!
