WOOAAH !!! You here that all you short child molesters out there. Time to move to Nebraska.

In this case I feel the Judge should have to do the time herself. I mean this guy repeatedly molested and raped his girlfriends 12yr old daughter and the Judge rules no jail time because he too short ( 5ft1in ). Well that's just fantastic. Did the Judge ever think about the victime who was being molested and raped by this ( 5ft1in ) GIANT ! Maybe if he gets pick-on in jail he'll get the point. I think that's exactly what he needs, some BIG ( 6ft5in ) inmate to molest him, so he gets to feel some of his own medecin.

Can someone share their thaughts on this one or is it just me who feels there's something definitely wrong here.

That has to be the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time. Height has nothing to do with sentencing! That obnoxious, heinous judge should be immediately removed.

"Oh yeah, Mister so-and-so, you're free to roam the streets because you're so cute and short and I'm afraid you might get teased in prison. Poor baby."

I can't find anything, sure looks like it's a drifter case to be forgotten with no appeal - gone with the wind. But what would happen if this guy re-offends ?

At this point I would assume that he’s either going to stop because he’s scared or he’s gong to keep on doing it because “he’s to short to be in jail.”

My thoughts if he’s to short to be in jail just cut off his hands. That should fix the issue.

Attorney General Appealed Probation As Too Lenient

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Nebraska Supreme Court has decided not to review the sentence a 5-foot, 1-inch sex offender.

Last year Richard Thompson, 52, of Sidney, was sentenced to 10 years probation for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

During Thompson's sentencing, Cheyenne County District Court Judge Christine Cecava noted that Thompson's height might make it hard for him to survive in prison.

The sentence prompted local and national criticism.

Attorney General Jon Bruning appealed the sentence and sought a prison term.

The Nebraska Court of Appeals ruled earlier this summer that Cecava had several valid reasons for giving Thompson probation. The court said experts indicated that Thompson is neither a pedophile nor a sexual predator. It also was his first felony conviction.

I hate to break it to that judge, but no matter what height a child molester is it will be hard for them to survive prison because other inmates HATE pedophiles with a passion.
