People in Colorado want to know the story behind JMK arrest. A local lawyer filed a public info request to see if it was ineptitude or something worse on DAs part

Thanks for posting this.
Jezeegirl, TV hosts are suing Mary Lacey, the DA who arrested John Karr, for release of all the public records pertaining to that arrest.
O/T Public service announcement for everyone to check and make sure their pm's are emptied.

Many feel there is more to the story and Mary Lacy didn't really have a press conference, she only invited certain people, so the questions weren't answered. Silverman says he will have an Op-Ed piece in Rocky Mountain News soon.

Lots of people still feel something is 'hinky' and being hidden. I don't think that the media trusts that all of it has been released. IMO

Perhaps people are outraged that someone tried to "pull the wool over their eyes" with this fiasco and want to prove it was bogus from the start so to put the focus back on who they believe the real suspects are.
Just a thought.

I think the position of DA in Boulder is cursed. Someone has put a hex on it.

i don't think Michael Tracey will go down, he has been writing a book to come out on the 10th anniversary of JBR's death. He would of been stupid to cut JMK off, imo.

Why would the media want to know? So they can take the information and spin it around so the truth is completely unrecognizable?
If it were the citizens of Boulder demanding answers, I'd think differently, but the media?

If I were contemplating committing a bigtime felony, I would have to conclude that the very best place to commit it would be Boulder County where the guilty get away with murder, IMO.

Trash the media all you want, but this wouldn't be the first
time their "intrusion" has uncovered something that just
doesn't smell right. You have heard of Watergate? Woodward
and Bernstein?
Lots of people suspect that this DA, with her overly strong
ties to the Ramsey's, may be hiding more than stupidity.
Put the facts out there and let the public decide.

I agree Paisley. If there is an ongoing investigation of Karr - I don't think the info should be released until everything is over especially like you said for the media to spin it. Guess they're upset over the fact that Lacy kept everything close to the vest as it should be.
Unfortunately that is exactly why this JonBenet case is a fiasco. Because too much information was released and in addition to it not being true. JMO

Unfortunately we do need the media to do this. However, they should also be held accountable and responsible for the information they put out to the public and that is a serious issue. JMO

Heaven forbid that if Karr (or anyone else for that matter) were arrested that he be entitled to a fair trial....

I agree with you about the public perception of her being tainted by a perceived connection to the Ramseys. It is just one more thing that causes any information uncovered to be suspect.
My big problem is allowing Tracey, with his baggage, to be an integral part of the investigation of Karr. Karr was so tainted by his communication with Tracey that even if they could have put him in Boulder, it would have been difficult to trust the information.

If its released to the public, then the info would be there, regardless of how the media wanted to spin it or not spin it. the public could decide for themselves.

------Maybe that is what some of the citizens of Boulder are trying to do----Accountability from Mary Lacy for holding a press conference on national TV---thanking and taking credit for this goofy fiasco----She may be a "nice lady" like NG said on TV, but truly she should have watched her P's & Q's with this---Anybody know who called that 1st press conference??----All JMO

Unfortunately the mass public would not go doing research as we do on this board to see what is actually "there". They rely on the media.
As an example: I followed the MJ trial very closely. I paid for actual transcripts and it was totally incredible what was being reported by the media v what actually happened in the courtroom. I used to just shake my head at what I was hearing. jmo

Kind of like Air Taser being tainted by the perceived Ramsey connection.
