University of Central Florida (UCF) RAPE

April 19, 2006

A teenager says she was raped at knife-point while going to work near UCF.

This 18-year-old girl says she was heading to work around 5:30 down University Boulevard when a man jumped out from behind some bushes, put a knife or razor to her throat, and forced her into his car. The woman says he then drove her down the street to a neighborhood off Khayyam Avenue and raped her on the ground. Some residents of that neighborhood are worried.

"I might have to call off work in the morning cause I'm not walking."

The woman eventually called her boss from her cell phone and told him she'd be late. The fire department treated her for minor bruises at a nearby Burger King.

The Orange County sheriff's office describes the suspect as a Hispanic male, age 20-to-30 around 5-foot-10. He was in a black Mercury Marquis (year unknown)
