New twist...sorry but I had to put it out there..
Does any one know for sure that Tara was last seen at the cook-out...what if there are those who have been questioned that saw her after the cook-out?
I have my reasons for placing this here. I am not saying this is true so before any one quotes me I am only throwing this out there due to information I received today.

As a constant reader...I've never heard of anyone who saw her AFTER the 11PM departure time. We learned early about those 3 phone calls after 11PM but nothing else...that I know of.

I know....
That is what I thought to until today and now I am not so sure.
Maybe, just maybe this WILL be solved very soon.

We have not heard a name or person that saw her after 11 pm, but many of us speculated early that she changed clothes and left in her car. Some of us speculated that she may have went to the bar in Fitzgerald. She recieved a call from Megan who was at the bar. But we sort of left that theory because she was not seen by anyone.

Thank you...
I didn't always follow the boards religiously until recently so I didn't know the information you just posted or I just looked over it as non-important. Now...it makes sense to me that it is VERY important so thank you for the info.

The theory went like this. Tara got a phone call from Megan that MH was at the bar with a girl. Tara excused herself to Missy, saying she was so tired and went home. She changed clothes fast and was upset. Maybe throwing her stuff around and banging things. I act this way when I get mad. She took off to Fitzgerald or hid some where to catch him. And she did.
But I never heard anyone seen her.

No insult taken....
I needed some humor. It does sound like that but I never became one because honest people don't make real good politicians.
If Tara did indeed go somewhere else and her house was made to look like she was abducted from home rather than her car being brought back the perps would have had her keys to let themselves in as many times as they wanted and thus lock the door on their way out...making every one believe that since her car was there she had been abducted from there. When in actuality her car was simply brought to her home in order to keep suspicions from arising once someone came looking for her.
JMO speculating

The car being there is definitely a diversonary tactic. Especially in light of the fact that her purse and keys have never been discovered. It all points to someone that knew her though.

Absolutely....
and it also works with the theory that she could very well have been somewhere else, harm came to her sometime later, and then the clean-up began.

A very good speculation, remember the bugs on the car and the hunk of clay.

and....
according to some Tara always locked her car...just as I do no matter where I am at...so the car wasn't locked and it leads me to speculate further that the perp slipped up on this little part of the clean-up.

Thanks for a fact and I assume you wouldn't say this unless it was a fact. I am so tired of not hearing truths. It is like coverup is everywhere on the horizen and people are so circumspect that the truth of Tara is being lost. Sorry, just my frustration coming across.

Just brainstorming here, but if this happened, the perp would have to know, the Portier's were gone, (to the farm) right? I may need to go back and read, but I think NG transcript said, Mr. P said the car was there when they came home.....Somebody correct me, if I'm wrong.

Mr. P said it was not there Saturday night when he got home.
I think he got home about 10pm. I could find it if you like. It was there Sunday night.

Yes, it was very convenient that the P's were gone that week-end. IMO

Maybe Tara mentioned to whomever (the person she was dating, someone involved in the Sweet T pageant, the cookout, her school friends ... etc ...) that the P's would be away that weekend. This may have been a passing comment made a couple of weeks - to days - earlier. The conversation could have been as innocent as (example):
"Oh next weekend is going to be really busy; my neighbours are away at their farm, I'm pet-sitting, I have the girls coming round to prepare for the pageant - AND ... I have a cook-out that night - phew - so much to going on!"
This information may have fuelled the perp's decision to attack, abduct, approach or accost Tara that specific weekend. (Less chance of discovery).

The original Meghan posting:
"Hey. After the Sweet Potato pageant a well known school teacher went missing about 12:30 am. Her name is Tara Grinstead and she is also a pageant director and she does my hair and makeup for local pageants. I am auctually her queen right now and we talked Saturday night until about 10:30 about me riding in the parade saturday and then we think she may have been abducted from her home. Her cell phone was left and her pocketbook was gone and the back door was unlocked. There was also a broken lamp beside her bed. We have searched since 2 am this morning and now im about to go to talk to the GBI becasue i was the 3rd to last person she talked to that night. Please keep Tara in your prayers. This is a very difficult time for the community so pray for us also. Thanks, M***N"

I think he meant M.E. instead of M.H. Who knows....
I thought it was established that MHu didn't talk to Tara that night after all?
Please let us know what you can, popcorn.

*69 calls are not always calls that are answered. If I choose not to answer my phone and then *69 to see who it was then I get the number so I guess what I am trying to say is that the *69 could have been a call from her mother, HD, or whoever was looking for her and to me it is not as relevant as some of the other things. This bar is about the only place around to go for entertainment, so don't be suprised that Megan and MH were both there.

Thanks, FSB, I see what you mean. It's my first reading of the actual post, (tho somewhat fragmented, I wonder why???). I missed the circus the first time it came to town. Looks like I'll be getting another chance, since everything "old" is "new" again!

Lay off the venom, cp. The topic of Meghan's post was being discussed in another thread, perhaps you didn't notice? I merely found it and posted it up top to be viewed by those so interested...again. Christ sakes.

I'm just checking in but I think fsb pulled this old post he posted and brought it forward and it shows what ME posted on the board someplace. If I am not mistaken ME was discussed at some point today. It's is a gem if someone was asking about it. Simple as that. Why would it bother you. Surely fsb has sense enough to know he is quoting is own post expecially if he is capable of doing the many things he has been accused of doing. Have you forgot what you posted yesterday? I haven't so this is just a friendly reminder. IJM
