IMO, the only responsibility I have to tell information pertinent to the case is to the investigators of the case. To reveal this kind of information on a public Internet message board would be highly inappropriate.
Some of you may recall a while back another poster told of an area that looked suspicious during a search and that searchers were not allowed to search properly. I passed this information on to Agent Turner and got his contact information, which I in turn gave to the poster so he or she could get with him and give him the details. IMO, that's the kind of thing that is helpful to investigators, not the rumor-mongering and speculating about individuals.
And yes, I care about the fact that certain individuals are being discussed and accused on this board. I don't think anyone can say I've said anyone is guilty or innocent. I have no idea who perpetrated whatever crime occurred against Tara--and I believe a crime certainly occurred. But the people who have been discussed on here have had their lives disrupted and their privacy violated in addition to having many untruths spread about them. IMO this is just wrong. If one of them is guilty of a crime, I certainly hope the truth comes out and the person tried and punished. But that's for the criminal justice system, not for us.

I couldn't agree with you more. Tara is on my mind every day. Every day I wonder where she is, what happened, and whether or not this was an isolated event or if it could happen again. I have two daughters and yes, I think about how horrible it might be if this happened to my family. I live right on the path between the house where Tara last visited and her home. Every time I look out my front windows I wonder if someone followed Tara as she drove by my house that night, and the thought gives me chill bumps.
This has affected a lot of people. Life here will never be the same. Tara's family will certainly grieve for her as long as they live. This is not a game. Everyone would benefit from remembering that fact.
