Let me VERIFY some things

Rumors have been flying, even sources of mine are telling me that there is evidence that could link Marcus Harper and Sean Fletcher to the car.

I am calling Anita today to do an exclusive interview for my website, CourtNet, and I will pass EVERYTHING by her to verify things that my sources have said.

As soon as I get this interview, I will immediately post a transcript on this message board, and on CourtNet.

Thanks.. I don't doubt anything you say.. It confirms my suspicians.. I always thought MH was involved and Fletcher was covering for him or something.. His only alibi was that he was with Fletcher that night in the patrol car.. I wonder if there were any calls Fletcher didn't answer that night.. I'm not sure how many calls Ocilla gets.. sorry, thinking aloud.. Hope everything goes well for the interview..

What other alibi does MH have after leaving the bar in Fitzgerald and being at his fathers?

Actually, Ocillian, you mentioned "other LE" seeing Marcus that night. Care to elaborate?

Pujadas said Marcus didn't go to his dad's until 10:30 or sometime the next morning, so that's not much of an alibi for after midnight up until 10:30 am the next morning.

Was Marcus' mom home when he went in to sleep around 5:30 am? She's been very out of the picture in all of this. What do we know about her? I understand she didn't like Tara too much.

it seems to me your only speculating yourself.. he very well could have something to do with Tara's disappearance.. why do you feel you have to defend him?!?

You say other LE saw him but you weren't there.. you even stated yourself you wouldn't speak for the mother because it would be speculating.. so.. you were speculating about the LE.. you weren't there.. right..

Mindis (and others):

You have to realize that there are some very strong defenders of Harper whose job is to divert attention off him to others (like Dr. Gattis) and call everyone else speculators. It's been going on since the beginning. I'd wager that Ocillian is probably one of Harper's stepsisters, but that would certainly just be "speculation."

It's Anna, right?

Listen. I don't need you to point out speculation for me, nor did I ask for you to do so. Get a grip and drop the defensive tactics.

And if your stepbrother doesn't drink, why is he holding a big ol' cup of beer in that crimelibrary pic? I think you're speculating that he doesn't. Shame on you.

For the fans in the crowd, Ocillian sent me a PM to ask if i was Anita or Larry Gattis. When you're all through laughing, please remind Ocillian that more than just Anita or Larry Gattis think Marcus Harper is involved in Tara's disappearance.

Ocillian, please get a clue! You have made my day with such a stupid accusation.

Shame on both of you for bickering this way about who's who and who's not who! How immature.
"For the fans in the crowd" ????? How could you possibly say that? No one is a fan in the crowd. There is a woman missing. I don't think that I'll be reading these posts anymore. It's disgusting to see how people (a/k/a adults) act. Sad, sad sad.

Ocillian- Might I remind you that we are NOT in a court of law. We are on a PUBLIC MESSAGE BOARD. For someone who wants to be perceived as a bright person, you sure seem to forget where you are a lot.

This is ridiculous. All this bickering.
I am an outsider, but if my friends or family was being accused, I would be on here taking up for them. I do not blame anyone and appreciate their feelings. So let the posters post whatever. Maybe we can learn alittle.
It will be solved someday. I pray.

I am beginning to believe that the excessive bickering has other tones. Kind of like deflecting from whatever is the truth. I noticed that some of the regulars aren't posting as much and that could be why.....bickering and nonsensical comments. When the truth isn't allowed to come out and others are reprimanded for speaking then we know we have a problem. Houston We Have A Problem!

sounds like a bunch of crybaby's to me

Why do so many people get their feelings hurt on this forum??? People come in here, post their thoughts, receive feedback - GOOD OR BAD - and then cry that "oh, that's why people quit posting in here" , blah, blah, blah....The minute you hit "post" on your computer you kinda open yourself up to whatever's out there - GOOD AND BAD.

If someone wants to start a "Protect and Deflect - the MH Board" - have at it, Tara's family is having to endure much more - so, sorry, no sympathy for the weak at heart. There are many emotions involved and just because I'm not from Ocilla doesn't mean I don't care what's going on.

I hope you aren't referring to my post. I believe in open discussion. The community has to understand this is a message board. The facts are more importent than anything, in lieu of facts speculation will abound. If someone can dispel a rumor than it has more power, if and until there will be speculation. Now with that being said I never want to see the victim revictimized. Tara is the reason we are here and the most importent reason. All others are peripheral figures who have something to add, detract or neutralize.

Small-town mentality plays a role in some of the defensiveness and arguing. A lot of people are used to biting their tongue for fear of rocking the boat. Some are less afraid to speak their mind here because it's less personal and a little more anonymous.

However, this is a discussion forum . Everyone needs to toughen up a little and focus on why we are are. Some people are just very thin-skinned and love to cry "slander" when someone expresses their opinion (not aiming that at anyone in particular but if you've been on several of the TG sites then you know what I am talking about). Everyone is entitled to their own opinion be it for one "team" or the other.

There is a world of difference between opinions/speculation/inquiring and genuine "slander" and "libel". Show me a poster with true "malicious intent" (see New York Times vs. Sullivan, 376 U.S. 255 [1964]). Most of the names and faces in this case are considered newsworthy and speculation comes with the territory.

I am awe-struck that so many people care enough to devote their time to helping solve this case. We should all practice a little more tolerance.

Small town locals and other topics

There are probably a lot of people who read these but don't post because they feel it is not going to help anything. There are probably some people who won't post because they know whatever they post can be traced and these folks don't want LE on their doorstep with questions or an invitation to a GBI questioning. There is of course a lot of info that is posted that sounds ridiculous to people who have lived in Ocilla all their lives. There is also some info that isn't posted for the above reasons.

If you are reading this and you know ANYTHING that is relveant to this case, please share it with SOMEONE.
If you know anything TANGENTAL even, we don't know what is relevant yet... the obvious is being explored and TARA is not FOUND.

We need to dig deeper, share truth anonymously with LE or drop facts only here. We're not here for gossip we're here for the lost.

I don't doubt that at all. I believe there are people sitting on landmines of info up there but they aren't speaking for one reason or another (most likely for the very reasons you mentioned Mooloo).

Yes it is sad! A person is missing and some are more worried about backlash for speaking out than about poor Tara.

From reading these boards most can tell how heated things are and how defensive each side can get. Who wants to be the town whistle-blower?

But I agree, if I knew anything I would be knocking down LE's door to give them that info. I wouldn't care how angry some of my fellow townspeople would be...their opinion of me is not going to matter on judgement day when I would have to answer for my transgressions and omissions.

Amen to that.. But I think your right, people are afraid.. If there is a killer they don't want to be next.. The tip line says you may be anonymous.. you don't have to give your name..

If you have any information that you believe may be connected
to Tara's disappearance, PLEASE contact:

djk,

I'm not really upset with anyone that posted MH drank beer. I AM VERY UPSET THAT AG would not correct her error in this matter saying he was drinking when she KNEW FOR A FACT that he didn't drink. As you can see the problem here again, AG. But, this wasn't something that a good friend told her this was something that she knew for a fact so what was her intentions to lie about MH drinking? This right here is why MH needs to be very careful. She wants MH bad and she has already proved what she will do? JMHO

Here's something about that photo of a cup-

One summer evening, My kid was drinking what I thought was beer in a mug. He was unerage at the time. I yelled at him and then apologized- it was tea, the ice had melted and it looked like beer.

No telling what was in that cup and making false assumptions that someone was drinking isn't fair. Been there, done that, gave the apology.
