Emotional Upset and Driving

Somewhere I had a post related to this issue, but, alas, the post has, much like Tara, vanished without a trace. Must have been in a thread that was pulled; I can't imagine the post itself contained anything infammatory enough to be deleted. So, will wonder aloud again.

The more I think about the story about Tara being so distraught as to be unable to drive so she had to call some friends to come get her, the more far-fetched it seems. In my life, I've known, of various situations in which someone became very distraught, had to pull over to rest, to cry, to call someone to talk to help them calm down, etc. But never did being upset incapacitate them to the extent they were unable to drive. So I have a few questions. 1)What could realistically render a person incapable of driving? 2) Who were the friends? 3) Where did the friends drive to to pick her up? 4) What did Tara tell them about where she was driving to/from? 5) What did Tara tell them about the circumstances that made her so upset? 6)What were the friends' observations about Tara? 7) Do we know if it was friends who picked her up? I believe I read somewhere that Tara had called Marcus' father Larry to pick her up.

Will be interested to hear what other folks think.

Well, from personal experience, I've been so angry and distraught that I shouldn't have driven but I did...lots of accidents are caused because people are emotionally upset. Maybe she had the common sense not to get behind the wheel

Re: Emotional Upset and Driving

From what I've gathered, this incident occurred on 10/13 when she left school early after HD came to visit. She then did not go to work on 10/14, which is the day that MH says she mentioned suicide, etc. A good source said that she called MH in an emotional state, and his dad was at the house and came to pick her up or help her out in some way. Some have said she may have called MH for attention or for "show," but I don't know the circumstances surrounding her mental state on 10/13 and what caused it.

Elle_Woods is an unknown quantity at this point
Since Marcus lives at his father's house, my guess would be she called there for Marc and she sounded upset enough that the father felt bad or was concerned for her safety so he went to get her.
