sighting!

I got this from wric tv8 rss feed.......

Fawley's ex-girlfriend

A witness is putting suspect Ben Fawley in New Kent County shortly after the VCU Freshman disappeared.

For the first time, wer'e learning that a gas station attendant places Ben Fawley in New Kent County in a car that fits the description of Taylor Behl's car in the hours following her disappearance. This information comes to 8 news from a source close to the investigation.

You'll remember Taylor Behl's remains were found in Matthews County, New Kent is about the half-way point between Richmond and Mathews. This report comes from the same gas station where sources tell us Fawley's credit card was used to buy gas. You'll remember Fawley told police he was abducted and robbed the morning of September 6th.

According to our source, the gas station attendant also told investigators he saw Fawley in a car that matches the description of Taylor Behl's white ford escort. The car went missing the night Taylor did. Sources tell 8 news Fawley was spotted alone with the vehicle.

Investigators are still asking anyone in Mathews who may have seen a white ford escort to call police at 514 tips.

well unfortunately the story doesn't say whether or not there were others in the car as well... so that leaves everything still open for me.

Yeah it does it says

"Fawley was spotted alone with the vehicle"

of course, the media gets it wrong sometimes....but, things don't sound too good for Mr. Fawley.

<<WRIC is reporting that a source informed them that a witness has come forward that places Fawley in the general vicinity of where two VCU investigators, acting as part of the task force, discovered Taylor's remains. The witness is reported to be a gas station attendant in New Kent County. Perhaps this is the station where Fawley's card showed a charge for gas on the night that Taylor disappeared. Perhaps the most startling revelation is that the witness also puts Fawley in a car that is similar to Taylor's. Bear in mind that Fawley reported that he was abducted during that period of time, and that he received a ride back to Richmond from an unknown, and so far, unidentified Hispanic Good Samaritan. Even with these new revelations, the evidence thus far is not direct evidence, but more circumstantial (or indirect) in nature. >>

from the no tagz website...note that it says someone informed WRIC TV - NOT police. makes me wonder, you know?

We know he spotted him alone - but for all we know Taylor could have been in the trunk. My question is what time was this at? I'm sure the police know. I just wonder where he hid the car for so long.

Just because he was spotted alone by the attendant I don't think this automatically means he was coming back from Mathews. Taylor could have been in the trunk.

In "his" neighborhood?

"His" neighborhood is nowhere near where the car was found.

1.5 miles from both his apt. and the school, walking distance to either, that in my opinion is more his neighborhood than say Diggs. jmo

It's only a 19- or 20-block walk down Park Ave., Monument, Grace St. or Broad St. to VCU. Or you can catch a bus on Robinson one block away from where the car was on Mulberry and ride on down Broad to Hancock. Or you could walk 3 blocks over to Broad and catch one. His place was what, a block off Broad by VCU?

This is a great neighborhood for walking.

Skulz used to live about 5 or 6 blocks from where the car was found. He was on the corner of Wayne and W. Grace St.

Chief Monroe wants a gag order. My neighbor just called with the latest development. The Chief's very, very unhappy about the 'confession' story getting out.
