Map and aerial photos of gravesite

Hi,

I've put together what I believe to be the approximate locations of revelant landmarks at the Mathews County crimescene. My information is based on news photos and descriptions of the area, as well as Fawley's own photographs taken in this area.

We know for certain that the crimescene is located adjacent to Knights Wood road (route 613), just west and south of Diggs, VA. The Crabhill Farm is listed as having an address on Knights Wood Road.

Fawley's now famous photo of 'Home Sweet Home' is a shack that is unmistakabley distinguishable in the aerial pictures. This is also the shack by the road where news footage of LE vehicles gathered around were taken. I am absolutely certain of it's location at the very least. This serves as a datum point to help indentify other locations.

News reports indentify Taylor's gravesite at the crime scene as being along a ravine, next to a stream running through dense woods. A rough dirt road is reported to parallel this stream/ravine for a ways. The topographic map view shows a ravine running south from the end of the dirt road that runs from the Knights Wood Road intersection next to the shack from 'Home Sweet Home'.

The dirt road that goes past the shack runs west, perpendicular to Knight's Wood Road and intersects the ravine path road, which itself parallels Knight's Wood road and runs south.

From all of the compiled news footage I have seen, I have tried to identify the approximate location where Taylor's remains were found.

These photos are taken from USGS aerial surveys and are somewhat dated by several years, so obviously they do not represent the present day crimescene with 100 percent accuracy. For example, the trailer visible in Fawley's 'Home Sweet Home' is not present is these shots. I simply wanted to offer a generalized view of the scene, along with my conclusions as to certain locations.

See? How's Ben going to carry her body in a bag thru that area? My neighbor couldn't even carry me down the hall in the trashbag. BUT... my neighbor and his brother did a bangup job of depositing me in the bathtub while still inside of 2 Glad 30 gallon trashbags. Alone? No. With help. Yes.

We tried that too. I'm telling you, it wasn't happening. The body is still a body, even dead and double-bagged! You try it.

Or did you mean just slung over his shoulder minus the bag? Yeah, that's possible.

Thanks FocusFactor!! Yes, it looks like it's very possible to drive a car right up to that spot. You certainly wouldn't have to carry a body very far. Whoever it was, may have dragged it, too. *shudders*
