Pedophiles and Murders

Of course we all are following the Duncan case where he killed an entire family just to abduct the children for sex, but I'm starting to wonder more and more about some of these murdered families.

Rader killed the Oteros because of his sexual fantasies about the 11 year old.

One of the "In Cold Blood" killers had in mind more than robbery when he went to the family's house: He planned to rape the daughter, but his partner kept him from doing so.

Now we have Alfonso Ignacio Morales who killed a family in Whittier and I'm thinking NOT COINCIDENTALLY raped and drowned their 8 year old daughter.

I'm now thinking about how many other mass murders might have been committed for similar reasons...I don't think it's a consideration that has been discussed very much in the media. I think it would be very interesting if it were studied. What if you and your whole family are in jeopardy because some *creature* wants your kid?

Should the Klaas family feel fortunate? The Lunsfords? The Van Dams?

Just thinking about this is giving me the creeps.

The examples you've posted reminded me of a case that happened here in VA three years ago. MO sounds similar to your examples.

Oh yes, of course. I had forgotten about this case. I remember hearing about it. Pretty scary.

BTW, I think anyone who brings a kind of physical or psychological force against another human being when he clearly faces an advantage--e.g. surprise, superior arms, etc-- is a coward. A complete and utter coward.

That's why I think the "romantic" view of serial killers is so inaccurate. Who can't kidnap a prostitute? Seriously. Or a little kid? Or pull a gun on unarmed people? Or sneak into a home where everyone is asleep?

I spit on these cowards.

Good Post! It is a shame that children are no longer safe in their own homes in their own beds. Predators will break into your home and in some instances, they will kill to get the child.

Frankly it's beyond creepy. I happen to live in a sort of "old-fashioned" neighborhood where the kids tend to play in the front yards. Even though none of them are mine, I watch them like a hawk when I see them out playing. We don't get a lot of traffic down our street, but it only takes on piece of human slime to kep into some innocent child and who knows?
