Remove Restrictions?
Karla's attorneys are applying to have the restrictions on her removed since she wasn't convicted of "sex offences".
First, he said, Ms. Homolka was not convicted of sex offences so she should not be subject to constraints under Section 810 of the Criminal Code. As well, Mr. Lavigne said, the restrictions contravene the plea-bargain agreement Ms. Homolka reached with Ontario prosecutors in return for her testimony against her ex-husband, Paul Bernardo.
Finally, Ms. Homolka will challenge the constitutionality of Section 810.

I sure would like to know where Karla is getting all this money to have all these lawyers fighting for "her rights!" What about the "victims' rights?" I hope the Judge strikes this down. If Karla's lawyers are doing this "free gratis" then I hope that they can sleep at night. What scum!
Thanks for the link HM!

I agree. No matter how many people that you kill, all you get is 25 years? Unless you get what Paul Bernardo got, but how many times does that happen in Canada? It is such an insult and slap in the face to every law abiding citizen in Canada! Don't get me wrong, it's not much better here in the States. The "Justice System" here is only for the criminals ~ not the victims!

I really think they need more harsh punishment!!! These people just continue on to hurt people and little innocent victims. Maybe we should have the death penalty!!!! I really don't know but the system doesn't work. Karla should not be out and as I saw in the paper today, she has a job.... sheesh
There are a lot of hard working people here that have lost there jobs because of the hi-tech burst..... and she has a job

I just think that the Canadian justice system needs to jump on over into the 21st Century. Please don't take any offense to this, as none is intended!
