Today has been Hell on Earth for animal welfare advocates...

Not only was today the day we would learn of Lennox's fate...which was a huge anti-climax, as they're stalling and spinning their wheels...today, Patrick's abuser was in court to (basically) say that she only had "that dog" for two days, and didn't even bother to name him, then she tied his leash to a door knob in the hall of the apartment complex for the security guard to "take care of him", and he was perfectly healthy the last time she saw him, and she didn't throw him down the trash chute." Or some such BS...
Kisha Curtis admits to abandoning Patrick the pit bull but denies any neglect
Kisha Curtis appeared in the New Jersey Essex County Veterans Courthouse Monday morning with her attorney Anthony Rojas. Curtis has been charged with fourth-degree animal cruelty in the abandonment and neglect of Patrick the pit bull. In March 2011, a maintenance worker found the barely alive, severely emaciated dog stuffed in a trash bag and thrown down a garbage chute in Newark's Garden Spires apartment complex.
Following her court appearance Curtis stated in an interview that although she admits to abandoning Patrick the pit bull, she "never harmed him or tortured him in any way." In the extended interview she said she only had the dog two days and had given the dog to the security guard after she told him she could not care for the dog. Curtis said the dog was doing well when she tied him to the stairwell doorknob in the hallway.

So she admits to abandoning Patrick, but NOT neglecting or abusing him.
I call BULL CHIT! NO animal goes from perfectly healthy to dehydrated and emaciated to the point of being thought to be DEAD in two days!! WTF!! This case reminds me of another case...coughskankcoughbeotchsnort...just different species...but both just innocent babies thrown away!!
