CL Boards Terms of Service, Rules and Regulations

RULES AND GUIDELINES
Thanks for joining TruTV.com's CL online community of message boards.

As with all communities, there are certain rules that must be respected.

You are entirely responsible and liable for all activities conducted through your message board sessions. Below are some, though not all, violations that may result in terminating your message board privileges. By entering our interactive community, you agree not to engage in any of the following actions:

-Harass, threaten, mob or cause distress or discomfort upon another TruTV message board participant, user or other individual entity; (this includes privates messages)

-Use blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred or profanity; (this includes private messages)

-Use TruTV's message boards to transmit or communicate any data, software, files, links or other materials that TruTV considers unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;

-Partake in any activity that causes a disruption in the normal delivery of TruTV's message boards services, or in the delivery of any other service of TruTV or Trutv.com;

-Impersonate in the TruTV message boards or chat areas any person, including but not limited to, a TruTV staff member;

-Post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation that are determined by TruTV to be inappropriate;

TERMS OF SERVICE AND AGREEMENT

Users who are in violation of the following polices may be removed from TruTV message boards without warning. Should users transmit any offensive and/or threatening language, TruTV may take legal action.

Please refrain from using your TruTV message board sessions for the following:

-Proving material that is grossly offensive to the online community, including blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred, abusiveness, vulgarity, or profanity;

-Promoting or providing instructional information about illegal activities, or promoting threats or physical harm or injury against any group or individual;

-Using the free message boards and/or chat service for commercial purposes, including, but not limited to the following:
a. Offering for sale any products or services;
b. Soliciting for advertisers and sponsors;
c. Displaying material containing nudity or pornographic material of any kind;

-Using a message board for acts of copyright infringement, including offering pirated computer programs or links to such programs, information used to circumvent manufacturer-installed copy-protect devices, including serial or registration numbers for software programs.

Users are solely responsible for anything contained in their message board and/or chat sessions. TruTV does not verify, endorse or otherwise vouch for the contents of any message board or chat room. USERS MAY BE HELD LEGALLY LIABLE FOR THE CONTENTS OF THEIR MESSAGE BOARD SESSIONS, and may be held legally responsible if their message board or chat sessions include, for example, material protected by copyright trademark, patent, or trade secret law without permission of the author or owner, or defamatory comments.

TruTV message board and chat users may not reproduce or transmit any content to TruTV message boards or chat that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party.

By submitting content to any message board, you automatically grant – or warrant that the owner of such content has expressly granted – TruTV and Trutv.com the royalty-free perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content.

The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless TruTV for any loss, liability, claim, damage and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or in connection with the contents of the user’s message board or chat session.

TruTV reserves the following rights:

-To release current or past member information in the event TruTV believes that accounts are in violation of the terms of service or content guidelines, used to commit unlawful acts, if the information is subpoenaed, or when TruTV deems it necessary and/or appropriate;

-To deny membership to repeat offenders of these guidelines or terms of service;

-To amend or change these guidelines at any time and without any notice.

RESTRICTIONS ON USE

This site is owned and operated by TruTV and contains material which is derived in whole or in part from material supplied by TruTV and other sources, and is protected by international copyright and trademark laws. You may not modify, copy reproduce republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute in any way materials from this site, including code and software. You may download material from this site only for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you maintain all copyright and trademark notices.

TERMINATION

This agreement is effective until terminated by TruTV, at any time without notice. In the event of termination, you are no longer authorized to access the message boards and the restrictions imposed on you with respect to material downloaded from the message boards, the disclaimers and limitations of liabilities set forth in this agreement, shall survive.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Under no circumstances, including but not limited to negligence, shall TruTV or any parent or related entity be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, TruTV materials. You specifically acknowledge and agree that TruTV is not liable for any defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any user. If you are dissatisfied with any TruTV material, or with any of TruTV’s terms and conditions, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using Trutv.com.

DISCLAIMER

The material in this Web site and any third-party site to which a link or pointer is provided are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind either express or implied. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, TruTV disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. TruTV does not warrant that the functions contained in these materials will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that this Web site, including bulletin boards, or the services that make them available, are free of viruses or other harmful components. TruTV does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use of the materials in this Web site or third-party sites in terms of their correctness, accuracy, timeliness, reliability or otherwise.
