Where is Tara's media coverage?
I have lived most of my life in central GA and I first heard of Tara Grinstead missing on WMAZ channel 13 in Macon, GA and The Macon Telegraph newspaper. My husband was transferred to the Midlands, of SC about 10 months ago. Since living here I have heard nothing on any media about Tara. Tonight I was watching a local news channel WIS TV and heard this story about a killer that left a trail in 4 states and shot a woman at a store in Eden Ga. ( a small town in Effingham county Ga near Savannah.) She was the only survivor of this killer. http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=7562810 Since then this William Ashby has killed himself. My question: WIS Tv covered this story, some 200 miles away, but I don't think anyone in this area has ever heard of Tara Grinstead. I am just flabbergasted, because I am a newshound and keep up with many major newspapers around the southeast and I have never heard of this William Ashby before, and I realize that many in the Southeast have never heard of Tara Grinstead before either. jmo

Not much, but he did leave a bloody trail in the SE. One of the victims a University of Va. student was from this area (Irmo/Columbia,SC). I see that is why the WIS Tv interest. Ashby committed suicide in Oct. 2006, during a shoot out with police in N. Florida.
