I'm putting this quote here to remind me to look in some catalogues later, after catching up with the two or three more pages of this thread, to see if there's any such thing as beaver watercolor brushes, don't think so but I could be wrong. Sable watercolor brushes are supposed to be good. More expensive, but I don't think I've ever heard of beaver. I thought Patsy's boots had beaver trim, and maybe an intruder's jacket.

I think they are fairly uncommon and their use is specialized. Watercolors? Calligraphy?
The picture I have seen offered up as proof that Patsy had beaver boots is this:

What Patsy says is:
. I had a
15 pair of after-ski boots, black, I don't know
16 what kind of fur it was. Technica or something
17 like that. It had like a little Indian braiding
18 around it or something, black fringe. It was
19 kind of, I don't know, leopard fur kind of
20 thing.
This is a link to teknica boots:

I went through once and they do not use beaver to trim their boots. They use rabbit, cow and a couple others I can't remember at the moment, but no beaver.___________________________________
At least that's my opinion at this moment.

Beaver hair is used for some specialist types of paintbrush which I believe may be calligraphy or chinese ...something. We found at least one website which sold them and explained it all.
The above post is only my opinion. Please do not hesitate to ask me for clarification if anything I post is unclear.
