Nevada Authorities Search for Girl, Man in Explicit Sex Tape
FOXNEWS.COM HOME > U.S. - Tuesday, September 25, 2007
LAS VEGAS — Authorities in Nevada were trying Tuesday to find a girl believed to be 4 or 5 years old and a man seen performing explicit sexual acts on her in an amateur videotape that detectives were told was found in the desert.
"The problem is the unknowns," said Nye County sheriff's Detective David Boruchowitz, who said he hoped widespread national attention would identify the girl and the man.
"We have no idea where he's from, where she's from, and no idea who they are or where they are," Boruchowitz said in a telephone interview from the sheriff's office in Pahrump, 60 miles west of Las Vegas.
The tape, a little longer than 30 minutes, clearly shows the adult man performing criminal sexual acts that Boruchowitz said included rape, "everything else, and then some."
A 26-year-old Pahrump man, Darren Tuck, surrendered the tape to Nye County sheriff's investigators Sept. 8, after another man reported seeing it, Boruchowitz said.
Tuck told detectives he found the videotape in the desert outside Pahrump more than five months ago, although Boruchowitz said the tape didn't appear to have been exposed to weather or elements.
Boruchowitz said investigators don't think Tuck made the tape. Tuck was arrested Sept. 19 on charges of promoting child pornography and possession of child pornography, felonies. The top charge carries a possible sentence of up to life in prison.
Tuck was released without bail, pending arraignment Nov. 26 in Pahrump Justice Court, a court official said.
His lawyer did not immediately respond Tuesday to messages seeking comment.
"Our concern is if little girl is still in that situation," Boruchowitz said. "Our concern is to get her out of the nightmare that she's been living in."

5-Year-Old Girl on Sex Tape Sought

Video Available - Gerald Ramalho Reports
A man says he found a videotape in the middle of the Nevada desert showing a little girl being sexually abused.
Now, police are desperately searching for that little girl and the man suspected of abusing her.
A blonde-haired girl, estimated to be about 5-years-old who police say was subjected to unthinkable, sexual crimes.
"This is probably the most disgusting thing we've ever seen, especially videotaped as a record of it, it's even worse," Nye County Detective David Boruchowitz said.
Nye County detectives were able to lift the girl's image as well as those of her attacker from a VHS videotape.
The tape was turned into police by this man, Pahrump resident Darren Tuck who claims he found it in the desert.
But police say Tuck's story may not hold water in court.
For one thing, had that tape really been found out in the desert, it likely would have melted in the summer heat.
Det. Boruchowitz said, "He's just not been cooperative at all in terms of any forthcoming information."
Tuck was ultimately arrested for possession of porn and may face additional charges but a close friend says detectives have it all wrong.
"He turned it in trying to do the right thing and they turned it around trying to say that he's involved and he's not," said Tuck's friend, Melissa Poulter.
He may not be involved but at the moment he is the only lead and detectives say if he does know something this little girl's life may depend on that information.

Police Seek To ID Girl, Man In Sex Tape
-- Tape Shows Man Abusing Young Girl --
WSOCTV - UPDATED: 11:25 am EDT September 24, 2007
NYE COUNTY, Nev. -- After receiving a graphic tape of a young girl being assaulted by an adult male, Nye County police are seeking help in identifying both the victim and the man, KVVU-TV in Las Vegas reported.
"There's no other way to describe it," said Detective David Boruchowitz with the Nye County Sheriff's Office. "She's a victim that's used to being victimized."
Police said the tape shows a young girl being abused and violated by a man.
"It's as awful as you can imagine," Boruchowitz said. "It's explicit and just about the worst you can imagine." .....

Sexually abused girl case getting national attention
KVBC - Sep 26, 2007 01:48 PM
» Sexually abused girl case getting national attention
Detectives have all the evidence they need to prove a young girl was raped. The attack is right there on a chilling videotape. But they can't find the victim or the suspect. Now, the search for the little girl is going nationwide.
A man in Pahrump says he found the tape out in the desert, but detectives say his story doesn't check out.
"This is not an agency pride issue this is 'let's get this girl out of the nightmare that she's living in,'" says Detective David Boruchowitz with Nye County Sheriff's Office. Nye County detectives say they've received hundreds of possible leads on who the blonde-haired child might be since the story first ran over the weekend. They've also received offers of help from several different agencies, including Metro and the Department of Homeland Security.
"We're working through each lead obviously. This is what we're hoping for: that eventually one of these leads is going to be that person that knows her or knows for sure who he is," Detective Boruchowitz said.
The girl, who police estimate is about 5-years-old, was subjected to heinous sexual crimes by the man who recorded everything on videotape.
That tape was allegedly found by Pahrump resident Darrin Tuck, who claims he came across the tape in the desert and turned it into police. "His story doesn't match," Detective Boruchowitz explains. "A reasonable person would not believe the story that he's given us. But again, he's not providing anything additional so we just have what we have to work with." .....

Help Nye County Identify Young Child Victim and Male Suspect
LASVEGASNOW.COM - Sep 25, 2007 10:03 AM
» Who is This Little Girl?
Nye County police want help identifying a young girl who is the victim of a disturbing crime. There is video of the girl is being sexually assaulted by an adult male.
"It is very disturbing, very disturbing. This young girl is being victimized by this individual," said Sheriff Tony Demeo, Nye County.
Police say they were given the tape by 26-year-old Darren Tuck of Pahrump who claimed he found it in the desert. After investigating, police discovered that Tuck had the tape in his possession for five months and showed it to other people before turning it over to police.
Tuck has since been charged with possessing and promoting child pornography.
"At least he had enough of a conscience to come forward. He didn't just throw it away and in that respect Mr. Tuck has some redeeming qualities," Sheriff Demeo said.
Police say Tuck is not the adult male individual in the video and if he did find the video in the desert, it may be difficult to discover the girl's identity.
"We want to rescue her from the situation she is in and someone out there is going to lead us to this girl," Sheriff Demeo said.
Anyone with information on either the girl or the man is asked to call the Nye County Sheriff's Office at 775-751-7000.

What's The Best Scenario You Can Think Of?
I've been trying to come up with a fact pattern that could explain the mother's "lack of knowledge" in a way that could be explained. It's hard to come up with one, so I'm gonna post one possible scenario.
We can assume the mother of Madison was a single mother (no one else has considered the father's inability to notice the abuse - suggesting he was not around to be in the position to notice).
What if she really is working her hardest to bring in an income for her daughter (as her attorney suggests, 6 days a week)
What if she moves in with Stiles' girlfriend Allen, because that's the only roof she can put over their head in her price range?
What if she has no idea that Stiles will be there, and no time to review his background had she become aware? Let's say she's not met him . . .
What if she leaves Madison with her roommate, this Allen girl?
What if she comes home late at night, or at least at the end of an 8 hour + day, and asks for updates on how Madison did in her absence?
What if the Allen girl plants in the mother's head the yeast infection? If the Allen roommate gave the mother a run down of the day - saying that Mason was fine but really irritable and rubbing her crotch and demonstrating signs consistent with a yeast infection in a girl that age - and that she changed her diaper and saw signs of a yeast infection?
What if, based upon the huge leap in Allen's supporting the infection & actively covering for Stiles, the mother believes the bleeding in her daughter as solely from an infection?
What if the mother is told that the bruising on the girl's arm is from falling down while roughhousing at Allen's?
I think if the Allen girlfriend were actively involved in covering up for Stiles in some way or form, AND she were the babysitter at the time (we can presume that as well, given that the rape happened in her house and in her bed), then we might have a scenario where the mom didn't have suspicions.
I think the best scenario for the mom hinges on what the Allen girl told her following her babysitting of Mason.
I don't think that's toooo far fetched, given that this Allen girl's son told reporters that he didn't like Stiles for many reasons, one of them being that he was accused of improperly touching a young girl, and that his mother defended Stiles and claimed he was being falsely accused and the other young girl in that case was lying. If she's the kind of character to stay with a guy who abuses her (given her a black eye in 2004) then she's the kind of character to justify his actions. If she justifies her own black eye, then why not the actions involving or allegedly involving other kids???
Just my thoughts . . .
I still find mom's inactions in this case very puzzling and troublesome.
Anyone come up with another possibility?
It's in the girl's best interests that the mother truly be innocent here, though I think at best she's negligently turned a blind eye towards the truth.

From what I understand Madison & the mom were living with Tina Allen's daughter in a "crowded apartment" and that Tina & Stiles swould visit. Even if Tina Alen or ANYONE talked the mom into beleiving it was an infection, then WHY DIDN'T SHE BRING HER TO A DOCTOR!!! Would any of us seeing any blood down there on our child not do anything?
Someone made a video tape of this - the most likely reason would be for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!
That makes me suspicious of all involved.

Exactly! Who was holding the video camera while Stiles was being taped? Detectives should be able to tell whether or not the video camera was being hand held or on a tripod. Usually if its hand held the picture will appear shakey (unstable) not sure what term to use here.

Something Smells in Vegas
I am starting to dislike the mother as well as the dirtbags. PLEASE! Someone tells you your daughter has an infection and you blow if off? That baby had to have had trauma down there. And what did Stiles tell her? If you tell anyone I will kill you or was she so young she did not know what was going on was wrong? Lots of questions here people, and the story of I had to work is getting mighty old. I think she left that child with anybody she could. Betcha we have a substance abuse problem! As for Tina Allen what a piece of trash. She KNOWS this scumbag has a record a mile long and is a convicted sex offender and she exposes him to her children. I think her kids need to be snapped from her. And yeah, who held the camera? Wanna bet she ain't telling the whole story?? But I think once they have Stiles in custody, more of this horror show will come out.
