No argument here about Murat being involved. If Amaral was involved, then Murat was never really questioned by the police.

It is very sad that Madeleine has not been found yet. I was totally shocked when Kate and Gerry were accused and waited for the damning evidence to be revealed. Of course there was no evidence and they are most certainly genuine. I think they were really accused since Murat was about to crack. This shock gave me a strange dream and in the absence of anything else, here it is. It started with everything blank -called out "Madeleine, where are you?" nothing, 5s, 10s then a faint reply - Liberia. And again. Then I was standing behind Madeleine while she sat in a dentist chair. She was looking at two blood stained towels on a rack to the left. On the right a person dropped a metal tool and said "All finished". Then Madeleine was standing in front of a 2door wooden wardrobe with an oval mirror with some marks at the lower edge. Her reflection showed a series of black joined circles inside the upper right triangle of her face. She was pale and thin wearing a white dress without shoes. I could feel the emotions - who are these people, why me and a feeling of giving up. A very vivid dream. There was also something else about ripples, a series of waves and Madeleine coming back on the peak of the largest wave.


The events in Japan are very terrifying and the nuclear issue is like an ongoing nightmare. It all shows how precious life is and how short it can be. If there is anyone who knows anything it is only a small step for them to send an email or contact the findmadeleine website. I think Madeleine deserves a short email or phone call, and I wish I could send this info.

This is very very sad and we can only hope that there will be some good news soon. (btw just remembered how to login in, otherwise would have posted earlier)

ABC 4corners in Australia is doing an interesting doco on Monday night 8:30PM and this show has a reputation doing great stories which can cause controversy and expose corruption. I hope there is some new info since it is strange for an Australian show to do a doco on something so far away.

It would be great if this thread was a bit more active and there were some more viewpoints - what was that line again - don't forget about me. Let us know what you think - what would you say to someone who had info about Madeleine. I would say "think about Madeleine, not yourself".

I'll just say that I don't think Madeleine was abducted -- not by a predator and not by a childress parent wannabe.

A South African real estate developer claims to have found the gravesite of Madeleine McCann.

Self-styled investigator Stephen Birch says he used a ground penetrating radar device -- a tool that that uses radar pulses to x-ray the subsurface -- to locate the body of the missing British girl.

If it is a grave, it's still going to take some time to determine if it's Maddie, or even human bones. Doesn't sound like investigators will be jumping right on it and excavate. Wonder if this land baron is planning to excavate on his own $$$$?

I actually think Maddie did have a "decent" burial -- I'm still going with the theory of a church being bribed.

There was an episode that involved a dead child and bribed church on The Practice once, so maybe that is why I am so stubborn on it.

The call that will bring Madeleine back to where she belongs. Hopefully it has already been made or is not far into the future.

Speaking about the future, according to some, there are only a few hours left so let's hope the phone call happens soon. With all this fuss about 2012, it is interesting that the Mayan people live on the Yucatan peninsula which is also where the asteroid hit, and they believed in the lost city of Atlantis. And nearby is the Bermuda triangle. So are we lost in a jigsaw or did a toxic asteroid wipe out a lost city, and the same asteroid still causes random events in the Bermuda triangle? So, is the apocalypse about to happen or did it happen a long time ago, so long it has been forgotten?

Anyway, whatever happens, I am betting the world will go on, and for Madeleine, having her home before this Christmas would have to be the best present anyone could wish for. With all the bad things which happen around the world all the time, having Madeleine back would show how valuable one life can be.

Is Madeleine McCann Down Under?

Whenever someone calls the Queenstown, New Zealand, police to report that they’ve seen a little girl who looks just like Madeleine McCann, the 4-year-old Briton who disappeared from her parents’ holiday villa in Portugal the night of May 3, 2007, police know exactly whom they are talking about. They’ve been called to investigate a Maddie sighting five times in the last five years in the cities of Queenstown, Milton, and Alexandra, and each time they are led to the same young child, who not only shares McCann’s hair coloring and petite stature, but also has the same coloboma in her right eye. The last sighting was New Year’s Eve, when a store clerk in Queenstown reported that a peculiar man came into the store where she worked with a shy young girl who looked “just like Madeleine.” The police went on a five-day manhunt to chase down the little girl, whose parents are transient. New Zealand Detective Sgt. Brian Cameron issued a statement January 4 that police were “absolutely satisfied” that the young girl was not the missing Briton. “This was not the first occasion that someone had contacted the police remarking on the similarity between the two girls.”

But Scotland Yard wants to be sure. As part of the ongoing McCann case review called Operation Grange, which kicked off in May 2011, Metropolitan police want to test the New Zealand child’s DNA to make sure once and for all that she is not McCann. The DNA request has been accepted, but it will take several weeks before test results are complete and the young girl can be completely ruled out as a match.
