Beckner's interview re: lead detective:
11 Q In October of '97, you took on
12 responsibility for managing the personnel who were
13 handling the case, Tom Wickman being in charge of the
14 detectives handling the Ramsey case and Tom Trujillo
15 being the lead detective?
16 A And coordinating the investigation.
17 Q And your job to coordinate the
18 investigation?
19 A Yes.
20 Q Right. And so when you took on the more
21 expanded role in March of 1998, that hierarchy as
22 such did not change, Wickman still was in charge
23 responding to you?
24 A (Deponent nods head.)
25 Q You were managing the detectives?
23
1 A Correct.
2 Q And coordinating the investigation?
3 A Correct.
4 Q Trujillo remained the lead detective?
5 A Correct.
6 Q Did Steve Thomas ever have the role of
7 lead detective in the Ramsey investigation?
8 A Not under my command, no.
9 Q Do you know whether prior to your taking
10 on the case in October of '97 Mr. Thomas ever had
11 been given the role of lead detective?
12 A I have been told no."The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie -- deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

Honestly I believe too much is being made as to the "instant" that JBR found/saw JBR.
Put yourself in his shoes -- what do you think you would remember? He doesn't even remember turning on the light, yet in FW's depo -- Fleet White said JR did turn on the light. What JR is going to remember or any other normal human being is walking into that room and the precise moment he found his dead daughter which will forever be ingrained in his mind. He is not going to remember whether he took a step left, right or sideways. According to the floorplan however and the spot that JBRs body was in he would have had to look to the left and he would have had to walk INTO the room to turn the light switch on.
When FW was down there earlier, he says the room was dark, he couldn't find the light switch and left. It doesn't even appear he actually walked into the room but only opened the door:
10 Although referred to as the "wine cellar," the room was actually used for storage and was "a dark, dirty area" with mold growing on the floor. (F. White Dep. at 228.)

& 154.) Under the broken window, Mr. White states there was a suitcase, along with a broken shard of glass. (SMF 27; PSMF 27; White Dep. at 28-29, 156-59, & 265.) He does not, however, remember whether the window was opened or closed. 11 ( SMF 28 ; PSMF 28; White Dep. at 153.) Mr. White also opened the door to the wine cellar room, but he could not see anything inside because it was dark and he could not find the light switch. ( SMF 29 ; PSMF 29; White Dep. at 159-61.)
The men next searched a shower stall located in the basement. {SMF 34; PSMF 34.} Mr. Ramsey then noticed a heavy fireplace grate propped in front of a closet and Mr. White moved the grate so the closet could be searched. (SMF 35: PSMF 35.) Upon finding nothing unusual in the closet, the men proceeded to the wine cellar room. Mr. Ramsey entered the room first, turned on the light and, upon discovery of JonBenet's dead body, he exclaimed "Oh my God, my baby." (SMF 36, 37: PSMF 36, 37; White Dep. at 162-63, 193-93.)

The big deal is how E2 is trying to explain why JR saw JB and FW did not.
I stand by my proof that JR saw her immediately and yes, that does mean before he stepped into the room or turned on the light. He had stated this twice in two different interviews. It does make a difference because there is something wrong with this scenerio. Two men, standing in approximately the same place, lights on in the basement but no other light because the door was at the end of a hallway with no windows...one sees nothing and the other "immediately" sees the white blanket. No. I don't believe it.
I totally believe that JR turned on the light at some point, though. Otherwise how would he have been able to see that her lips were blue? IMO

The light was on BEFORE he saw JBR. JR says he doesn't remember -- FW said JR turned on the light - THE LIGHT WAS ON. Step back for a second of what you believe TWW just because JR said it. He doesn't remember anything except finding JBR's body and at that MOMENT; but not the minute details of leading up to that moment.
When FW went down there earlier it was 6AM - dark outside -- the lights were on in the basement but did not shed light in that windowless room nor did FW ENTER the room; he just opened the door which is why I posted his depo.
Oh well.... goodnight all!

The person who drew the sketch was Dorothy Allison, referred to as a
psychic sleuth, died in 1999. The link below is a side by side comparison of
the sketch to the the recent suspect.
